Another Spotting: Kerry Washington and Common +Jay-Z’s “Blue Magic” Vid+Don’t Nobody Talk Bad About Ms. Jackson!

    Kerry Washington and Common dating

Well maybe it’s not just a rumor. After reports that Kerry Washington was tapped to write Common’s new vid and reports that she was chillin backstage at his concert in VA (as well as his NY show I hear) this week, sources have relayed to YBF that the rumored new couple was also spotted arm and arm all up in a mall by Norfolk:

…the two walked in arm-and-arm, looking very cozy with each other, like couples do, and she said that he had the look on his face like he was hoping not to be noticed. Once they came upon a group of people who recognized him, he was very polite, signed autographs, and the two practically ran back out of the mall.

And I guess girlfriends share everything:

Kerry Washington and Taraji P. Henson

@ the L.A. Confidential party back in August

Because last time I checked Common’s most recent ex Taraji P. and Kerry are admittedly good friends. Gotta love the Hollywood bed hop.

Hov’s vid for “Blue Magic” premiered tonight on 106 and Park:

I was already shakey on the song itself. Now I’m convinced the grease is better.

    Tyler Perry and Janet Jackson

So Tyler Perry and Janet hit up the CBS 13 Morning Show this morning. And they drilled Janet about “single handedly reforming FCC regulations” thanks to her SuperBowl wardrobe malfunction. And were borderline disrespectful about it. But Tyler wasn’t having it. Video. Are we seriously still talking about that ish 3 years later? Seriously?

Somehow I bet they didn’t ask Justin Timberlake when he was promoting his album about that incident. I love the way Tyler handled it, but Janet didn’t have to act like she didn’t hear them, come on Janet speak up for yourself girl!

Yeah, I am getting use to this website also. It is nice. but on the subject of Janet, how disrespectful can people be? Why bring that up, Janet is not one that is all in the news about something crazy or involved in some scandalous mess as others are for her to be the subject matter of an accident that happen ahwhile ago. Media loves to keep things going. They should be ashamed. I am proud that Tyler answered the questions and made light of the subject and tried to keep those silly WP on the movie topic. He is a real man.

I feel that Tyler should have allowed Janet to speak.Perhaps, had she spoken up for herself and put that guy in his place, he would have walked away looking like a bigger idiot than he was and, feel completely ashamed. So many actresses have wardrobe malfunctions (ie: Tara Reid, Brittany Spears, Paris Hilton etc) and you never see anyone having the audacity to bring that up! I almost felt enraged at the fact that he even brought that up along with a respectable piece of work that Tyler Perry and Janet had worked so hard to bring to fruition. And shit! How about some damn woman to woman encouragement here. The female broadcaster went along with the guy and didn’t even stick up for Janet. Seriously people, isn’t it obvious? Media is another avenue to steal perfectly commendable things from black people, and turn them into a mockery. They could have discussed the increasing divorce rate, or the common problems occuring with married couples of today, married couples of all ages. Did they do this? NO! They instead chose the most crude route and mocked a black woman.

I’m not at all surprised. I used to work at the sister station (the REAL CBS station) to this station and worked with these people. This wasn’t for the camera…they really are that ignorant. Mark S. Allen (the one asking the “Super Bowl” questions) is a H.A.M…. And this is the highest rated programming this station airs all day. So, they air it for 5 hours…it’s sad and so are they.

Ok..um..talk about a jacka**. Bringing up the super bowl incident was uncalled for and relatively inappropriate. She did not come on their show to talk about that; everyone has moved on from that incident. I find it a slap in the face for Tyler, as well. Here he is, trying to promote his movie, and all they are doing is finding a way to humiliate Ms. Jackson. However, I do wish she would have not tried to play it off and told them a piece of her mind.

Janet Should have expected it, I think she did because of her body lauguage and the way Tyler was answering most of the question. It time to let it go. IF JANET WOULD HAVE TALK THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN THERE TALKING ABOUT SOMETHING THREE YEARS AGO> IT WOULD HAVE BEEN EVERYWHERE JANET JACKSON ARGURING ABOUT SOMETHING THREE YEARS AGO ON EVERY MAGAZINE. Janet should have spoken up to defend herself and not look like a child but at the same time that Mark guy should have seen how awkward she was and stopped pressing the issue. Okay…
You know…I try. I do, I really do. I’m going to start going to church as much as I can especially since I feel…tired?(that’s the nicest way to put it)…after watching that news report clip.

I try so hard not to be a racist, and I don’t know if this is God testing me or if it’s my temper. My thoughts after viewing that clip are cra* get away with TOO much. I said it, yes and I feel bad. I would really like to feel another way, but I just don’t. I calmed down after the female news reporter gave Janet benefit of the doubt, “I think it was a wardrobe malfunction…she seemed pretty shocked to me…”

      I mean I don’t get it…
Yes, we have free speech, but what happened to morals or am I living on Sesame Street? That’s just it, that news reporter is a perfect example of someone who talks all this trash and he doesn’t expect to pay any consequences. His behavior was so uncalled for.

Dude is trash. “Well, if you want to send a complaint…” - Like he just knew nothing would happen regardless if someone complained. Tired of w* people. It’s time they suffer the consequences like other* normal people.

I’m going to Church. I won’t ever talk like this again, I promise.

Thank you for reading my rant.

First and foremost much love to Tyler Perry for stepping up like man! That reported has no integrity. He was very rude to Janet and at first I was mad at Janet for not speaking up and just letting every bit of the Ghetto Gary-Indiana pour through her veins. The more I think about saying nothing was probably the best she could’ve done. She’s under a lawsuit and cannot really speak on the subject, she swore to never talk about it again, and if she would’ve made a big deal about it and say cursed him out or stormed out it would’ve made headline news. Sometimes saying nothing is like screaming.

Although they were trying to disgrace Janet, I felt embarrassment for THEM (the new anchors). I at times want Janet to let them have it. But Janet ALWAYS exudes class and that is one of the very reasons I love her…But as someone mentioned above…they certainly didn’t bring this to Justin T. Wonder why?? Pisses me off the level of nonsense that goes on with some media channels. But I am glad Tyler handle it the way he did..CLOSED minded individuals think the only way we know how to express ourselves is to cuss everyone with in 5ft out. If they had then it would have forever cast a bad light on both of them and overshadowed the positive things Tyler does as well as Miss Jackson reminaing to a CLASS ACT!

I’m just wondering did they invite them to interview for the specific purpose of asking Janet about the Super Bowl mishap. I thought the purpose of news broadcasting was to be current. Clearly, three year old infractions don’t count as such.

I just found out that they gave Mychael Bell in Jena 18 months, for a high school fight that left no one severely injured, after he has already had time served in an adult jail for months. This judge is a racist ass and having knowledge of the crosses we black people still have to bear in this country has only heightened my distaste for white people. This judge probably feels like he did just what this anchor did and that is put a black person in his/her place. Well I am tired of sitting in that place. There are only so many times that we can be ridiculed, have our achievements discredited, and suffer through injustice before we snap. To some extent we can only be disrespected if we believe that the person who is attempting to disrespect us is the source of our respect. BUT DAMN. My friends used to say that one day there will be a revolution between white people and blacks and I never believed them but I am starting to see the signs of it myself. I hope it never happens but if things don’t change, I am afraid that it will.

They might say that they are not but deep down they are. I see sh*t like it everyday. I live in a predominantly white country at the moment and white people act like they are terrified of black people. You look at a white person and they get nervous. They think that all black people are dangerous. They see the images on tv and think that we are all alike, BUT WERE NOT. I hate that shit. You know what else I hate…that black women get treated this way. Why couldn’t Tyler let Janet speak for herself. I wanted her to address the situation. She should have told his white ass the fuck off and then she should have fucked off the who mug ass tv station and bullshit new station too. WHY THE HELL ARE THEY ASKING QUESTIONS ABOUT SOMETHING THAT HAPPENED like 3 years ago. It is so irrelevant to the topic they were there to discuss “THE FUCKING MOVIE”, point blank. And why didn’t they ask Justin questions about it when he was promoting his new cd… and why the fuck didn’t he get banned…why??????????BECAUSE HE IS FUCKIN WHIIIIIIIITE!!!!! I’M SURE TYLER AND JANET DIDN’T COME ON THERE TO BE ATTACKED.

I THINK WE SHOULD BOYCOTT THEM FOR THAT…

I would have done the same thing as Janet. You will be surprised how much it pisses people off when they are lashing out at you or are being disrespectful and you just give them a blank stare. It shows that you are secure and are not moved by their ignorance. As we all know as said it’s been 3 years, why should she still be defending it. I would have looked at him like he was crazy too and probably smirked or gave a light laugh.

She carried herself like the lady she is, and Tyler defending her honor like a true gentleman and friend.

Please remember jerks feed off emotions, show no emotion and you have overcome the offense!

That was some rude shit but I’m definitely not surprised. I’m glad that Tyler held her down, though, cause you know some people are quick to run when things get a little hot (JT I’m talking to u!)

Kudos for them even going on there since TP, at one point, said, “We were warned.” They probably turned her earpiece off right at that moment just to make her look bad. Those reporters seem bitter; one of them said, “Yea, it affected us directly” or something close to that. Way to go Tyler!!! Get cha man on then Mister. Keep doing it Mr. Perry.

Growing up in the industry, Janet is pretty conditioned to having someone else speak up her. That’s not a bad thing, everyone can’t have a snappy comeback on thier toung. Tyler Perry is truly a mans’ man. (Yeah, I said it!) Because he made The anchor look like the jerk he is and kept it professional.

Like someone said, why did he not Justin Timberlake the same thing?

There were 2 people involved in the incident, not just Janet. Why dont they give Justin Timberlake a hard time for his part in this?

As for Jay Z. I hate the song. Its weak, and he sould just retire.

I always thought Jay Z was overrated anyway. He was never as good as Biggie, Tupac, Eminmem, or KRS-One.

I’m so mad about that clip I cant even say anything. The superbowl was YEARS ago and I really forgot about that incident. It just looked racist to me–three white people–two black people–and a black project–but they insist on talking about something that happened so long ago that embarrased a black woman. And he tried over and over to embarass Janet. Get over it people and move on. I’m glad Tyler stood up for Janet. It was about a movie…not that old ass superbowl and it didnt affect them directly (like he said) even if they do work for CBS. Their paychecks werent garnished, they werent embarassed, people are not still asking CBS about that event so how did it affect them directly? Thats why so many black people still hold grudges on stupi, uneducated, closed-minded white people. They make balck people want to pull some Rosewood, Time to Kill, shit.

Good for Tyler Perry to discuss the movie then to fall into the trap of those reporters. That just goes to you that they really weren’t interested in the movie at all.

Although that clip had my blood simmering I was not surprised. Crackas are going to be crackas, end of story. Janet realizes that “the man that angers you defeats you”. I’m glad she didn’t japp out. I commend Tyler for trying to redirect the interview but all that smiling and laughing I could have done without.

Janet we love you very much!!!! People feel that they can ask questions about that situation and think your going to anwser them. That was very disrespectful but that is just one person. Keep doing what your doing because your a Positive Strong Black Woman!!!! Tyler is great for being there for her because people can be very ignorant. If that is the only question they could ask JAnet then they need to lose their job. Love ya Janet and Tyler!!!!!

I disagree with you EJ. I think we need to email the station and MARK in a very professional manner and let them know that what they did was inappropriate and demeaning. If you don’t call white people out on things like that then he is just going to continue to do it in his next interview with Halle Berry or Oprah. I emailed him and the station and very politely expressed to him the lack of integrity as a journalist he displayed and how tacky he was. I told him he holds no credibility as an interviewer following the interview. Please email people!

I’m just shocked a newsreporter would pull something as snakey as that. I hope “The Jan Fans” blow up the station email box. As a matter of fact….knock your self out:

      http://cbs13.com/contact

Emailing him directly won’t do anything, let it go thru the station email box so management can see he got so many complaints. I’ll not curse on this thread, but that incident was just downright disrespectful and shows a lack of journalistic integrity.

um did they really use the word “singlehandedly”? if i remember correctly, it wasn’t just janet who was up on that stage. and i recall justin being the one that did the pulling off of her shirt. somebody needs to flood that station’s mailbox with complaints
