Beyonce Going Country?+Trina & Co. Party It Up In Miami

Beyonce ain’t going nowhere any time soon.  And clearly she had way too much of good ol time with the country folks the other night at the AMA’s because word has it she’s about to drop a country album.  She’s already signed on a hit songwriter to help her make the transition.  Is a “Jesus Take The Wheel” remix on that piece?  If not, it should be.

Trina, Rick Ross, and other folks hit up DJ Khaled’s birthday party at Mansion in Miami the other night:

T-Pain was there.

Sigh.

WTF do you have on Trina??  Patent sequins hot pants?  Seriously?  On a full stage during an official concert…yes.  Amongst the crowd at a club as a real outfit when you just randomly grab the mic to spit a couple verses because you feel like it….not so much.  I thought we were making progress.  But instead I see we’re on a steady downhill mudslide.

Is every DJ Khaled party a Thirsty Chicks United convention?  I just want Buckeey to get a job.  One that doesn’t consist of me seeing her naked ass next to the months of the year on a calendar.

Ciara and 50 performed together the other day over in Europe during 50’s tour:

Interesting.

The Randomness:

  1. Common has signed on to play the “Green Lantern” in the upcoming American Justice League superhero movie.
  2. Solange has officially moved into her new Hollywood pad over at the swanky Lofts complex.
  3. So Shaunie’s worth about $30 mill post divorce.  Story That includes the $25 mill Miami estate, a 3.95 mill Orlando condo, and $450k in stocks and cash.  But she’s claiming her only income was Shaq’s $7k/month stipend to her which she mostly gave to her mother and brother.  Interesting.

Ok I guess it makes for an interesting funny read and I love your blog but…..if you have stars like Beyonce who are making hits, getting crazy endorsements, sing live and on key for their concerts what’s the problem? So she trying a new genre, let’s hear something first before we start hating on her. History lets us know that Beyonce doesn’t do anything half assed.
Then you have the Cassie types that don’t do so well they get hated on too. Just curious how you really can’t please black folk. if you do to well they hate on you. if you don’t do well they hate on you.
to much self hatred can’t allow you to see the beauty in others.
    just my thoughts.

B, PLEASE do not make country music. I am pretty open and listen to just about everything, but I cannot STAND country music. I have only ever liked one country music song and it was by some some man named Charlie something or other who sang about playing the violin (or fiddle, perhaps) against the devil and winning. And it was a minute ago, believe me!

Don’t DO it!! Please, pop, hip hip and R & B, HEY! Do a rock and roll song with Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park or um…NICKELBACK or something. Just not country. Please!!

As for Beyonce, The SUN is a UK tabloid. About as credible as that wacktastic ass Mediatakeout, so i wouldn’t take this ’source’ too seriously, people. B is nowadays pretty well known for attempting to do everything, in every way, for every market, faster than everybody else, so of course they were going to start rumors she’d immediately do a country record. When we hear it from her moneymaking, daughter-pimping daddy, or at least a credible news outlet where it doesn’t quote ’sources’ or say she’s ‘reportedly’ doing something, then i’ll believe it.

What the hell are you two talking about?? that is not a good quote?? damn its just pure ignorance, so Beyonce wants to do country, nobody said a damned thing when India did a country track on her album, shoot, I’ve always had a little Dolly Parton in me.. There are many many many white folk that like Beyonce, probably a few country music fans too.

But maybe just maybe Beyonce just wants to do country because she wants to do fucking country… She’s a Southern Gal. ffs. its not about crossing over for fans or fans crossing over for her Angel Eyes just for a change had a thought in her head that sounded as if it could be somewhat intelligent but didn’t actually think it through before she typed it… and Shelly just got confused too… and has probably been wanting to use that Field of Dreams quote for years.

The girl has real talent and that’s it. But, I thought her next album was going to be a dance album. Didn’t YBF report that a couple of weeks ago? Also, Beyonce is not crossing over to expand her audience. Her audience is the WHOLE DAMN WORLD! She is an INTERNATIONAL star. Damn near everybody on the planet knows who she is. Her audience has already crossed over to her. She has white fans, black fans, asian fans, african fans–peopel who dont even speak English know her songs word for word. I love Beyonce and I have been a TRUE STAN since DAY ONE…seriously. I just wish she would sit down and take a break for her own health. It seems like she is always on the go and always working. But I must admit, when she is out of the spotlight for even a small short time, I am like “Damn, where is all the talent.” No one has anything on her…these singers these days are whack. And even when Whitney comes back–Whitney is a wonderful singer–but Whitney has nothing on Beyonce. Whitney can sing and act–that’s it. Beyonce can do that plus much much more (dancing performing, and the list goes on). Go ahead Bey–do your country album–I don’t like country and I probably wont buy that album–but go ahea dand do it. A STAN is a person that is “over-fanatical” (if that is a word)about a person. Based on the Eminem song “STAN”….Eminem had a fan who became more and more obsessed with him - starting to act, look and live his life like him. He is eventually so upset that Eminem does not write back to him that he kills himself, his chick and their unborn baby. Deep video with an excellent hook.

    hope this helps.

It’s just a true fan. Eminem did a song called Stan back in the late 90’s early 00s about a super-fan of his named Stan. But the Stan that Eminem sang about was a very crazy and deranged fan. So its a term used to describe a crazy in love fan of a celebrity. But I’m not crazy in love with her like that–like Eminem described in his song. I just think she is a very talented artist.

beyonce is only doing a country album, because country music albums sells the most. most people download -hip hop and rock albums. however, country fans really buy country albums…. look at carrie underwood - her album sold 6 million. can you say beyonce album only sold 2 million and even after she put out the deluxe edition, promoted on every channel, mtv, bet and vhi put out every video for each song - it jsut sold 2.5 million. look at carrie underwood, she makes cheaps videos and her album sold 6 million. country folks will buy an album!

Carrie Underwood, despite the almost infinite number of albums solds and awards garnered, is still struggling to be accepted in country music… They are a VERY esoteric lot, they sniff for “realness” about like gang leaders would in initiation… There is NO WAY Beyonce is making a country album, PERIOD. Jessica Simpson’s turn to country will be disastrous, too, UNLESS she enlists some country superstar to yoddle over the first single OR maybe some respected writer…her actually being from Texas makes it so that she’s got a better chance, but I’d say she’s going to get laughed right back into pop oblivion.
Having said all that, I will reiterate, Beyonce is NOT, I repeat NOT, going to do country music… The idea, itself, is soooooooooooooooo silly…that magazine should be ashamed…it shows they are not at all familiar with the genre…

Wow someone ate some bad turkey over the holidays. Is it really that serious?? Beyonce DOES cross over to her audience…which is why she released her album the 2nd and 3rd time, adding more Spanish songs to them. She wanted to expand her Spanish audience and sell more records. Study business and the music industry. She can do whatever music she pleases and that’s fine, I didn’t say that she couldn’t do country. It’s a fact that it’s hard for black artists to be accepted by white audiences (who control the market) Bey’s been there, done that. She’s crossing over b/c our urban hip-hop stations will play Bey’s country albums because it’s B, but you will never hear her R&B song on a country station. That’s what is meant by crossing over to the audience. Now take this time to inhale……now exhale….enjoy your weekend :-)

Honestly, I think its Beyonce’s manager, Papa Knowles, who comes up with all of these crazy ideas for Beyonce to do all of these different types of genres of music–and other things. She is so overworked. Her name is on everything. Papa Knowles has overexposed this child and she should be ssssoooooo tired, physically drained, and near exhaustion. I know she loves her money and her daddy but she needs to tell his money-hungry ass no sometimes–like “No, Daddy. I’m tired sh*t! Let me rest for a day or two! You can’t be pimping me like this! NOT Bey, Who got the Golden Globe? Not Bey. And for you to even compare Whitney Houston to Beyonce is crazy. Whitney had the best voice in the WORLD, Beyonce is no way near that. Whitney is in a class all by herself. Beyonce is too but it’s not with her voice. It’s her personality, sex appeal, shaking her booty and her charisma. Whitney fall off because she was on crack that’s it. You must don’t know what real talent is. Yes Beyonce is talented and she’s popular right now but she’s not the best thing in the world. I saw her concert yesterday and she’s a great singer and dancer that’s it she definitely not no Actress.

That’s what is meant by crossing over to the audience. Now take this time to inhale……now exhale….enjoy your weekend :-)

    U are so right!!!

Beyonce is a STAR…period. There is nothing she can’t do. She can collaborate with damn near anybody and make it a hit. She can perform any genre and make it sound good. It just proves that you can do anything musically.

Oh I you’re a stan alright but a dumb stan at that. I like Beyonce too but nobodys a wonderwoman including her. There is something she can’t do at that ACT. Who got the OSCAR?

Dumb? No, sweetie–I am far from that. I never said Beyonce was a wonderwoman. Is that what you think? I said she was an INTERNATIONAL star. If that’s what you think a wonderwoman is then thats your retarded ass. You must be deaf if you think that Beyonce can’t sing. And I never said that Bey was a better singer than Whitney. I said that all Whitney does is sing and act. Beyonce is more well rounded as an ENTERTAINER than Whitney ever was even before the crack! I never said that Beyonce was a good actress–can you comprehend what you read? I KNOW she is not a good actress but she can act. I can’t say much about her acting but she has been in enough movies to call herself an actress–and she keeps getting movie roles and she keeps cashing those movie checks. Bey is not a good actress because she is not a good speaker. She has to fix her speech first. And yes you can add Beyonce’s voice to the reason why she is in a class of her own. You saw her concert? Good…I went to her concert and I know she is a good entertainer. You need to comprehend all of what I write before you try to comment on what I write.

Shut the hell up !! Why, you may ask. Cause your pompous, arrogant sounding ass don’t know all “black folk.” I for one, spend most of my time, lovin’ on my people hard. I was raised with the notion that if you can’t say anything nice try hard not to say anything at all. But for you, I had to respond, you sound a bit wicked.

I like Ciara but sing sounded terrible. She wasn’t even dancing and she was ran out of breath. I hope she doesn’t embarass herself in “Mama I Want to Sing”.

I too love Trina’s sequined hot pants and the jewelry. We have a similar body type and I too would wear a similar fit (minus the shoes, which are a bit too much for my taste). Beyonce can do whatever the hell she wants - she’s sampled reggae and rock, so why not country. Go Bee!

Beyonce does Country??!! WTF! Ok I personally loves various genres of music including country, but I think she should cool it on the Entire country album right now. I think two hot country singles with the hottest country songwriters and producers would be hot on her next album, and maybe a duet with Carrie Underwood, Garth Brooks and Rissi Palmer that new black country singer would be cool. But a full scale, go to Nashville and record a real Country album seems just a little too contrived after that duet with Sugarland for true country music fans to get fully behind! They are some of the harshest and lets just say it racist fans out there. I’m not saying don’t do what you want to do, but proceed with caution, respect and realism. Plus, I’m not trying to see an influx of Country artist delving into R&B/Hip Hop and showing up on the BET Awards red carpet! LOL! Can you imagine! We can barely sell platinum now! Justin Timberlake is already snatching up the black dollar! It would make more sense for him to do a country album!

I believe Justin Timberlake IS doing country on his next album…they announced it several months ago… When I first read about Beyonce doing country, I dismissed it as absurd because I know how difficult it is to be accepted in the genre, even for singers who have never had highly publicized careers in other genres. I’ve seen country stars crumble because someone found a hint of pop in their style or sound… “OTHERS” are never received well in the genre, point blank!
BUT, I do know that Beyonce’s album will be a Timbaland creation and I’m sure Justin Timberlake will write on the CD…so, I’m thinking she might be doing some country stuff, because he’s into it…

I think the idea is silly and ill-fated BUT Beyonce’s all about crafting certain images, she’s never married any particuliar sound our genre…so she’ll probably try it lol
She’s so outer-directed, that woman…I found ridiculous the fact that producers on her project actually admitted that she decided to go dance because it was more of an “international” sound since the heavy R&B sound of her last album didn’t do as she’d expected… Basically, the woman is saying: I’m going to try whatever I think people might like lol Artists, historically, have done the opposite… but oh well, Fergie actually sold lyrics for upcoming projects to different companies (agreeing to ment
