Cause Of Bow Wow’s Hospitalization Released+Michael Vick Gets Sentenced

In yet another press release followed by mad album promo, Bow Wow’s people sent a statement of why he was hospitalized last week:

It was previously reported that rap sensation Bow Wow has been hospitalized. Symptoms that were originally thought to be due to stress and exhaustion are actually the result of an infection of Bow Wow’s appendix. Although the young superstar will be fine and is recovering, Bow Wow is fully expected to rejoin the sold out tour after the Baltimore date.

Interesting.

And your favorite dog owning baller was sentenced to 23 months in federal prison today in Richmond.  The judge didn’t give Mr. Vick the max sentence for his charges which is 5 years.  Still, somebody’s career is a wrap.

Wow…Vick got sentenced to damn near two years fed time! I know some people will hate me for this but I think that sentence is a little excessive. I’m not an animal hater and I am all for “animal rights” or whatever but I think two years FEDERAL time (that means day for day…no good time or two-for-ones) and three years probation (click the link) is a little excessive for having dogs fight. We all love our dogs but, damn, how many dogs were killed? I don’t know all the details of his case but Vick has lost a lot…I’ll be praying for him.

One has to wonder what kind of time other dog fighters have received. Making an example of Mr. Vick I’m sure hasn’t done anything to stop the dog fighting. PETA is not on their job b/c in that state and other parts of this country dog fighting is accepted but I don’t see them going down South throwing paint on anyone. Hopefully, down time will pass quickly for Mr. Felony and he can get on w/his life.

good for him hes a damn fool anyway for involving himself in something so cruel .. he shouldve been thanking god for the fact that he was drafted into the NFl in the first place, he was making millions of dollars and shouldve appreciated it.. now hes having money trouble because his team owner now wants back the 20 million bonus they gave him and hes lost of all of his endorsements and his mothers house is on the line as well hes a damn fool for doing this to his mother.. he had enough money to live comfortable for the rest of his life and wouldve been able to take real good care of his mother as well, but black men are under in the impression that there equal to white men in todays society and there not!!!!!!! white men can do whatever they want and will never suffer the backlash of the public, but once black men do something your going to have hell to pay!!!!!!! 2 years behind bars for something so stupid as dog fighting!!!!! all of the broke bums who he thought was his friends he had in his house are the ones who told on his dumb ass, why the hell would they be happy for him having what he has while there broke as hell .. majority of the people from your neighborhood arent happy for you when you make it out and doing something positive with your life they wait for you to fall flat on your face and ass then there happy about it… now everybody in the hood is going to laughing there butts off at the fact that he will now be living right the hell back in the ghetto with all of them.. he came from nothing, he was dirt poor and that shouldve never left his mind- its called being HUMBLE!!!!!!!

I think Michael Vick was wrong and should be made accountable for his actions but, I believe 23 months fed time is excessive. If he had prior convictions or misdemeanor offenses for dog fighting or any other crime I would have agreed with the sentence. I think he should have been given probation, a reasonable fine and/or community service. Vick’s life as a football player is over. I truly believe he will have a life after prison but it is up to him. Just a sad case of bad decisions.

Vicious Vick - don’t know if any of you has actually seen what goes on in that underground industry. It’s really vicious and cruel - from the slow killing of the animals to the really, really strange sexual behaviour these men (perform on)do to the dogs - it’s so fu**-up.

So I guess Mikey has a little time to reflect - although (it can be) prison is not exactly the place for reform, he might come out with new techniques.

It’s definitely unfortunate what happened to Michael Vick, and I agree one hundred percent with nelly’s post. It’s a shame that instead of uplifting and encouraging those who have risen above poverty and bad situations to continue on the right path, many people encourage them to do just the opposite whether it’s out of jealousy, ignorance, hate, or a combination of all three.

However, I have to say that Vick had a mind of his own and knew - or should have known - that he was placing his life in jeopardy every time he engaged in such activity. Unfortunately, sometimes you have to lose everything to find yourself. I am sure the next almost two years in a fed pen will shed light on things for him. I just hope that once he’s released he makes positive changes in his life and disassociates himself from negative people.

Vick shoulda known better. The criminal “justice” system is not fair to us when we are innocent, so we all know what happens when you’re actually guilty!! WP are not playing about “man’s best friend,” Vick would have been better off killing black people. It’s a shame and a half but he was making millions of dollars a year and didn’t need to be doing this crap. I’m not saying the sentence is entirely fair, but this is what happens folks!! We don’t want white ppl using the N word but its ok for rappers, ppl who are in the limelight, to throw it around in their music. The same music that white kids listen to. We have to start respecting ourselves and stop giving white ppl a reason to think what they think.

Michael Vick is a fool and he should have known better. What pleasure do you get out of making dogs fight and torturing and killing them? That is absolutely sick. Let me make it known that I am not down for hunting as a sport either…I don’t understand the pleasure that ppl get out of killing deer or bears, stuffing them and mounting them on their walls at all. But this is why that doesn’t get as much flack in America….because there are ppl who lobby for hunters in Washington. Hunters have coalitions and groups that argue on their behalf and rally support or at least get ppl to turn a blind eye to those nasty practices. Its disgusting but if there were enough ppl who lobbied on behalf of dog-fighting then this would have worked out differently for Mike. Its all about power and influence, but he deserves the time he gets and maybe next time he won’t be so barbaric and stupid and he will keep positive ppl around him who mean him well.

And for the ppl who brought up R. Kelly; lets be real, the political scene in Chicago, the music industry and black ppl are to blame for his ability to dodge the charges. I have not purchased an R. Kelly album since the charges have been made public. I refuse to put money in his pocket….but how many of his “supporters” can say the same. When ppl constantly buy his material and see him in concert, you enable his behavior. He is still well-respected in the industry and ppl are lining up to work with him. Its almost a taboo to talk about his charges. Also, money talks…R. Kelly is paying the government off big time in Chicago…that is why his trial keeps getting pushed back

i know who you’re talking to…i know who wrote the sentence lmfao…he did have cages where dogs were made to have sex with other dogs…females dogs were being raped, besides being slammed to the ground for no reason to kill them he also made them to fight to the death…also i don’t believe i mentioned that he also starved some of his dogs to death. that’s cruelty to the fullest…a human with love in their heart doesn’t do crazy things like that imo. he needs a lot of help imo.

i’m also not condoning that any animal should be treated any better than any human - it’s my belief personally that if you kill another person you should automatically get life…but’s that is just my opinion again.

I think this is sad for so many reasons:

    1. Vick is so damn sexy! I was sleep on him untill all this came out. I have seen the jerseys around, but I did not know that number belonged to his fine ass! His in fine as hell!!! O.k. next—–

    2. Jail…..PRISON is just not the place for a man like Vick. I have held a few debates with friends and the actual things that go on there are just ridiculous. There is no reason to send a good man like Vick to prison for two years. I am sorry to have to admit this but when men come back home they are ruined. Physically, emotionally, sexually, and mentally.

    Samantha wrote:

Sam was so right on that! It seems to me that incarcerated males make it law to rape the men and turn them in to either full out gays or DL brothers. So many of our men go to prison and when they return we welcome them back with a badge of honor, but we really never talk about what they went through in there. It is hard in prison and so many good lives get ruined.

But then again….they say footballers go through the same gay thing. The older ones get the new picks and wine and dine them while they turn them out. Please answer WHY THE HELL IS EVERYONE TURNING GAY?!

This is all a part of the Man’s plan. They just want you to give them a reason to come get that ASS! I think this is very excessive, and honestly a pet dogs life does mean more to WP than a young black girls(r-kelly.) If they helped all the young black girls that go through this that would upset the system. The young girl would never live a victimized life and may emerge with thrust for a man, and could possibly live a productive life. They want her to hate men, especially black men so they can continue to divide our families. They want her to get on drugs so that she can kill herself with their poison. They want her to have no value for self so that she can seek love randomly and end up pregnant in her teens and raise a child that has no chance from the start.

Locking a BM up will give them what they want: they have the public figure that they can all reference and say “we gave ‘em a chance! Thay don’t want nothing!” They want to take someones brother, father, husband, FRIEND, so that they can ruin them and the person can never fully recover. This is a part of the plan! Let’s try our best to not fall into that EVER AGAIN!

Lastly,(i know yall mad), AIDS is running rampant in the Pen. Almost every man has it. They pass it around all day. The Man knows this too. This is how he is killin our men and us. Lock them up for “short time”, get them full of aids, release them, let them have sex with unsuspecting BW, and just pass it all around.

23 months, I guees it’s safe to safe that he will be Gay by the time he gets out. LOL, Damn another one bites the dust.

“WP are not playing about “man’s best friend,” Vick would have been better off killing black people.”
That is the saddest part about it. Hopefully WE, the ones that are reading and discussing this topic, will take this as a opportunity to teach our sons better.

Although I do not agree with what he did, I too think that the punishment is excessive. Maybe it’s just because we have people like R. Kelly still doing tours and making CDs. I guess America values animals over people.

In 2005 Vick settled for an undisclosed amount for giving a woman herpes. I believe I read that in SmokingGun awhile back. Poor Dogs!
