While you were busy hitting up gangs on your speed dial...Chris Stokes...Brandy was released of all charges against her. The L.A. City Attorney has decided not to file charges against Brandy over the fatal car accident she was in last year. Her lawyer tells TMZ:

These past 12 months have posed an extraordinary hardship for Brandy and her family, who have been unfairly forced to live under a cloud of suspicion initially caused by the ill-advised and premature press release sent out by the California Highway Patrol accusing Brandy of wrongdoing before the police investigation was even finished. However, Brandy continues to be mindful that she was so fortunate to be uninjured in this accident and there was a life lost that should be remembered."

Case closed...criminally. Now maybe her lil brother can stop acting out trying to get all the family attention...

Wow, a murderer got off scott free! If she were not famous, trust me the justice system would have locked her murder ass off! There is no justice for the victim. The civil suits will be

The civil suits will be dropped next. Since the woman who died was at fault for the accident with traces of mary jane in her system. The wrongful death and civil suits will be dropped and the accident victims will go after the woman's insurance company since. I feel for the family's loss, but their behavior was more focused on $$$ signs rather than getting to the truth of what happens. I hope she can make a comeback.

I think Brandy is amazing and has some of the best R&B music out there!!! ppl need to listen to her albums because her voice and swagger is the business I am SOOOOOOO happy this is behind her and I Cannot wait for another album!!!!

it is very unfortunate that this happened and i am sorry for the loss but i am so happy for brandy!! the media and that woman's family smeared her name through the mud when all the f_______g time it was the woman who was at fault! and she had the nerve to have marijuana in her system? hell to the no!!!! the civil cases will be dropped next and if the family tries to proceed, brandy's lawyers will make sure that the jury knows that the woman was at fault and driving under the influence and that's not a good look! all this family cared about from the beginning was getting some money from brandy. nothing more, nothing less! justice does work, SOMETIMES!!!!!! LOL!

she should be the best driver now but it is good that she gets a break and note: even when it was an accident you can still get in trouble .. but it is all good she will still be with her baby and family .. Good for Brandy. I am happy for her. Looks like all the hataz didn’t get their way about her. Maybe this will make them stop calling Brandy a murderer. But if Brandy is being sued in the civil case she probably will win that case too since they are saying the woman hit the person in front of her before Brandy even made contact with the woman. But civil cases are different and they could indeed win money from her. Even though it was a tragic event, it is good to see that Brandy will start the new year a little better than she started last year.
