Solange Gives Teen Pregnancy Advice+Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon Debuts Her Babies+MiMi & Da Brat Spend Some Quality Time

Solange is giving advice to teen mothers, especially soon to be mother Jamie Lynn Spears:
"I have been so blessed that my son is the coolest kid ever," Solange tells World Entertainment News Network of son, Daniel Julez J. Smith. ”Of course, that first year of not sleeping and just being dedicated to him had tough parts." But Solange is confident that 16-year-old Jamie Lynn will man-up, or should that read mom-up, in the coming months. "I've heard stories of people who were 14 that had kids and basically snapped into it and got into the groove of motherhood," she says. "A lot of people have doubts, but when you have a child I think it takes a really non-emotional person not to have a blast, no matter what age."

At least she left out that genius shotgun marriage advice.  Speaking of babies, CBB has the first look at Garcelle Beauvais Nilon's twin babies Jax and Jaid: Just precious. Look who was spotted spending some quality time together in NYC last night: Mariah's back in NYC and Da Brat escorted her past the paparazzi into her apartment.  Awww how sweet.  I wonder if Brat's jealous of the new puppy. Stay fab!

Let's be honest, majority of

Let's be honest, majority of teens can not take of a baby, finacially and emotionally. Some people would like you to believe all you need is love, everything will be ok and you can raise a well-adjusted, happy baby. Wake-up people you need money, education and some kind of maturity to raise a child. Solo's statement shows her lack of education and maturity.

AND THE SOk, maybe ignorant

AND THE SOk, maybe ignorant wasn’t the correct or best choice of words, but no matter the degree you have or dissortations you have written, the statement was a stereotypical. Research also shows that in some cases or GENERALLY, it doesn’t matter the background you come from. Whether it be, a two parent, middle class family, a single low income family, or if your come from the Hilton family, people make bad choices but what matters is how you deal with the consequence of that choice is what overall dictactes your life. To say that because you have a baby at a young age, or that your mother was a crack head, or your father was abusive or your were born in the ghetto; your life is going to be troubled and you and your offspring or going to suffer because of that is, in my opinion is a stereotype. All people that come from the ghetto aren’t “ghetto”. All black people don’t talk loud or like watermelon. People that have abusive parents, physically or emotionally, don’t always grow up to be abusive or be in abusive relationships. Even if you put the words “generally” in front of it, it all sounds like a stereotype to me. But that is just my opinion, we’re both entitled to that, right?

Some of yall are on a whole 'nother discussion here.[/quote] I think the point here is that she referred to motherhood as being a "blast". True, motherhood is a very joyous experience. However, there are a lot of ups and downs and she did a very poor job at relaying the message she meant to deliver. "It takes a very non emotional person to not have a blast, no matter what age"?? What kind of foolishness is that to say?? No 14 year old is ready to be a mother and it will not be a blast. I don't care what anyone says. There are plenty of very impressionable young girls in this world who already think having a baby only consists of changing a few diapers a day, fixing a few bottles and dressing baby up and taking him/her to the mall to show off. She is doing nothing, as a young mother, to erase this notion. As far as money is concerned, I had my first daughter at 23 when I was a STRUGGLING grad student. Financial issues made the experience 100 times more stressful than it needed to be, and my boyfriend and I had jobs that were better than any 14 or 15 year old could imagine. Now though, at 27, I am pregnant with my second child and it is the joyous experience that Solange refers to. Having experienced motherhood on both levels, I see why so many of us here think she has her particular feelings because she has more money than your average. Being a mother can and should definitely be the happiest time of a womans life, and it can be when you are financially and emotionally prepared, which is not the message that Ms. Knowles relayed.

people never cease to amaze

people never cease to amaze me. first of all Solange is trying to say that life doesnt end because one becomes pregnant as a teen. if you have a suportive family, forgive yourself for the mistake of getting pregnant in the first place, dont feel sorry for yorself and listen t naysayers like most of you on this site, pray, work hard, finish school, and enjoy your child you can raise good productie children. keep in mind she was speaking in relation to jamie lynn, one celeb teen mom to another, but even outside of that remember she is still young and thank god she has a positie attitude regarding her mistake. she did what she could to correct her mistake. it is judgemental, negative, statistic throwing individuals like ms. attorney that make these teen moms feel doomed when they face this issue. embrace solange for trying to raise her child, being seen in public with him, and still pursuin her dreams and trying to motivate someone else. get a life ladies cause apparently many of you have fallen prey to the statistical bull that white america wants you to believe. contrary to what they report, for eery single teen mom that falls through the cracks there are two that succeed. but most of the statisticians dont research the success stories.

Only thing i have too say is

Only thing i have too say is kids having kids so many are and its harder for them because they were not blessed with the financial upbringing so what solange is saying doesnt apply realistically to the teens that are pregnant in brooklyn, queens , bronx and all over the world. Its easier for her because of her family upbringing which is fine but what are we instilling in teenage girls . Having babies is the new prada bag? no Kids are a major responsibility and if your not careful they show up no matter how cautious you are being. Im 24, and I am not ready for any kids right now I see what my brother goes through with my neices and im not ready for it. Being that he had his first at 19 so i understand . I give her credit for trying to give her own insight but it doesnt really apply to the teenage girls dropping out of school or working minumum wage jobs inorder to provide for their child.

Daphne unfortunately my

Daphne unfortunately my comment was neither ignorant nor unmerited. Ignorance is the lack of knowledge or education. My statement was based upon the research that I personally conducted when writing several papers on the topic, including one which was published, it is based upon reading many scholarly articles on the subject and it is based upon my time serving as an advocate for juveniles since I began practicing law. Study upon study upon study proves exactly what I said. Teen mothers GENERALLY come from families with low incomes, generally are less educated than their peers and TYPICALLY their children suffer because of it. Now there are always exceptions to the rule, God bless your mother and Missy's sister. However, their experiences most certainly do not define the rule.

Well.........Solange looks

Well.........Solange looks good in the pic and her son looks sooo grown and serious. I agree with some of the other posts in that she comes from a different reality from the norm. Money does, indeed, make the financial and if chosen correctly, the nannies less of a worry so that providing for a child and having a caregiver on hand is easier. Brit's case is the same as Lohan and Paris' and people of that category, so much money so young and not enough guidance, restraint, to only dibble and dabble but still step up to the plate and take responsibility for actions. Anyone, despite the best intentions, having children early on will be trying to instill things into the child they haven't yet fostered within themselves. It is very hard trying to "learn" yourself, grow emotionally, spiritually, mellow out, sharpen your self discipline/restraint, be in a position to not have to catch public transportation everywhere and live hand to mouth/pay check to paycheck. It is best to get some education under your belt so you aren't going to school, trying to work and raise babies and deal with yourself and your partner or babie's daddy/momma, bills life, etc. It's somewhat difficult even for those with resources, life experience. Garcelle looks great and her babies are beautiful! Is the Brat really Lesbo?

My sister had a baby really

My sister had a baby really young, and for the first time in her life, she started taking school seriously, and went to college... when she swore she'd never go. Solange isn't the most educated crayon in the box, so you can't take her literally... (also, she has nannies). But I get the gist. Having a baby isn't a showstopper. Sometimes, it motivates people to grow up & be responsible. Anyways, I would kinda think it would be interesting to see a J. Spears&S Knowles playdate. What happened to the Brat after Celebrity Fit Club? She was hot. I wouldn't mind if her & MiMi dated. I think they look cute, and the both have a unique place in the industry. I think your quote about 14

I think your quote about 14 year old moms and the affect it has on their children is totally unmerited and just untrue. My mom had me at 14 she finished highschool,on time by the way, and went off to college and graduated all the while taking care of me and working. Doing what is supposed to be done. Now, 26 years later and I didn't grow up to be a crack head,or having babies in highschool. I was an exceptional student who went to college with a scholarship, got a degree, I have good credit, a home and a family. I agree that you do need a solid support system, let that be your family, your church or even your friends, but to say just because you are young and have a baby you and your baby or doomed to be poor and uneducated is just ignorant. I realize everybody doesn't have the since of urgency when it comes to real life situations like this but it all goes back to the basic principles you were raised on. When real life situations happen its how you deal with them that matters. But to tell someone who is in that situation that your life is over is the whole problem with our society now. That is why the abortion rate is high, that is why they abandon their kids in bathrooms or trash cans. So you need to think about the things your are putting back out there because someone that this is happening to or has happened to is listening.

Okay about Solange..Just

Okay about Solange..Just because she snapped into motherhood doesn't mean every child should have a child..Everyone is not born to be a mother...Then we have people with this post partum stuff..If people would come to the realization that they can't emotionally handle kids..then certain things wouldn't be going down...Also if you can't take care of yourself..how the heck are you going to take care of a baby..I don't care if the female is a child or an adult..There are adults that go around popping out six kids and are mentally incapable of being a mother...Having a baby isn't easy for most people..Some people think that because a baby is cute that they want one..Babies aren't shoes...they aren't bags..or a cute shirt..Its a big responsibility..I know people that were emotionally unstable that changed when they had a kid..and I know people that stayed unstable even after the kid..BTW..Look at that mother on the news that put her child in the oven to burn him because her child lost her cellphone..and the other mother in the news that killed all four of her kids because she said they were evil..this was also a black mother..I'm getting tired of people still thinking that because they are a woman that they are obligated to have kids..If your mind is not right...you are no good to nobody
