    Wednesday WTF Material

An interesting statue of Lady O has surfaced. Sofia…is that you?

    Source: Kanye’s Blog

*blank stare/cue the music* One of these things just doesn’t belong here…one of these things just isn’t the same….

I’m sure the tour will still be a hot one though.

I want to be offended for some strange reason!!(lol) as far as the concert that sounds like a good line up as far as Rhianna???? Don’t know who made that call but she doesn’t quite fit the bill!! You got Pharell, Lupe, & Kanye who style is somewhat similar in my opinion they could replace her with Common or Slum Village what ever happened to them anyway??

Soon as the chick opens up her mouf (yes, mouf) and i hear “I don’t wanna doooo this anymore, i don’t wanna be a murderer”

*Whoop! Time for a liquor break!*

I am NOT playing. The second that chick pics a mic up and a slow note comes out and them Umba-rella sparks stop raining out the sky? I’ma need to head my ass to the concessions. Mad, mad amounts of Alize and/or Hennessy are needed to sit through hearing that chick murk a ballad. I can’t handle that madness sober. I love her look and her earnestness and her can-do attitude, but I saw her ass sing “Unfaithful” live on Jimmy Kimmel in 06′ and i seriously wanted to give her a hug and slap some duct tape across that mouth. It was sincerely a ‘Bless her heart’ moment.

She fly, but silence is golden, RiRi.

As much as I enjoy YBF, I think you comment “Sofia…Is that you?” was quite ignorant. While I’m not a BBW, I am an African American (AA) woman. I am also intelligent enough to know that there’s a high probability this was created to perpetuate a negative stereotype regarding the physical stature of larger AA women.

I was hoping your comment would say something with a bit of social consciousness. Not that fashion regularly intersects with intellect.. but well…it doesn’t hurt to maybe do a little research before randomly posting pics. You’d probably find that that figure was created out of ignorance.

      Step your game up girl!!

the oprah statue was an artist’s rendering….the same artist that did a statue of britney spears giving birth and of a dead paris hilton. it’s art, it doesn’t have to make sense to u—only the person creating it.
as for rihanna, hate her if u will, after kanye she will be the ticket seller. people ain’t trying to see n.e.r.d and lupe—no matter how great they are as artist, they are not sellers. lupe’s album is going double brick as we speak (although it’s a great concept album). she will bring in a segment of the music buying population that kanye cant and n.e.r.d / lupe would never be able to attract. also by having the rihanna fans at the concert, it might help boost lupe and n.e.r.d sales.

the oprah statue is gorgeous and actually flatters her way more than i would if i’d scuplted it, when oprah is heavy she definitely isnt that shapely and no matter how pretty her “team” makes her look on her show and her magazine cover every month, at the end of the day she really looks like ms. sophia.

i’d go to the concert for lupe… i’m cool on the rest of the show tho.

I’m 100% African and grew up seeing a lot of women wt the small shoulders, small waists and HUGE assets… but when that flesh lies firmly on her frame and she’s carrying it gracefully, then those curves do kinda look like a true work of art. Go ahead, Mama Africa!!
