Chrisette Michelle "real"

Chrisette Michelle "real" hair is actually short and was natural just prior to dropping her CD. It was the label that forced that weave on her. That God she took that "forced hat" off of her head. I think Christing Milan is just adorable regardless and the short look makes her look more mature and taken more seriously. I like Amerie better with the black hair. I think hair whether short or long can be cute.

Christina: long...short height with short hair? IDK.. Amerie: both. Her black hair brings out her Asian side and makes her exotic looking...The lighter brown is cute, but everyone rocks the brown/blonde Chrisette: long...makes her face stand out more than the short.

Amerie, I like em both, but I

Amerie, I like em both, but I prefer the jet blackness. Christina, probably looks good with long or short hair, but the specific style she is wearing the short hair in is not particulary flattering...too much "poofiness". She's still fab though. If the difference between Christette's do's is the difference between a weave and her natural hair...then I am always a proponent of making the best of your natural hair. I don't think the cut looks particularly flattering at this angle but if more pictures were taken with better lighting I'm sure she'd probably be hurtin' em! I am for Christette's new do!

I see the sista's are

I see the sista's are starting to pull the weave off. Thank God. This weave thing has just gone over the top. Weave was suppose to be an option , not to hide what is naturally yours. This weave thing is affecting the younge ones coming up and adding to the low self esteem. Plenty of these comments are because black women and men cannot even concieve not having on a wig or a weave anymore and its so sad. I say its about time to stop the weave bullshit. We came this far to revert back. Maybe its because Rihanna took that foolish weave off. Kerri Washington has too lately. Now these women here. Now if we could all just stop the stupid perm foolishness. There is nothing as beautiful and a black man or woman than their own hair, no matter the texture. Time to stop the self hate and slave mentality.

Chriatina M, either works as long as she has some curls or waves to balance out her square jaw. Chrisette looks better w/ long hair since she is big, to balance out her frame. Anmarie, I never thought was pretty but the brown makes her look more plain, while the black makes her look more exotic.

I like Amerie either way, Milian needs to untuck that its too puffy she would have did better just getting a short weave and Chrisette sorry don't like it the weave just poportioned her body out better she looks really bottom heavy in the rest of the pics but maybe if she got a better cut...maybe And there is nothing wrong with weave esp when you a celeb all that wear and tear and heat on your hair isn't healthy we all know beyonce mary and a few others actually have a nice length of hair and healthy and they want to keep it that way..btw i believe that is all Amerie hair

Amerie light brown is super cute... she needed a change altho her hair is one thing that ALWAYS looks great... From what I can see Ms. Milians hair doesnt look too great short but witha face and body like that.. she can be bald and look amazing.. and ms Chrisette needs LONGGGG hair because she is a lil chunky and short hair only brings that out more!!

I agree with whoever made the

I agree with whoever made the comment about weave being an option NOT a necessity...I think weave is cool but its absolutely nothing wrong with rockin your real hair! I am glad Rihanna canned the long tracks and lacefronts... Amerie's new look is not doing anything for her...or working against her its just blah, meaning boring. The black hair is definitely her thing and she should stick to it...either that or do some dramatic highlights, but regular brown hair is just not exciting on her. C.Milian can rock pretty much any style...I think her newer 'do makes her look sweet, classy and innocent. I'm happy just as long as she doesn't go back to being a blonde! And Chrisette needs to style her short do...that is just not working and that haircolor is looking like that yorkie's haircolor!

Mo, Mo, Mo please, come now, just because a women of any race, color, ethic group-- what have you-- wears a weave, doesn't mean there is self hatered or a slave mentality going on. This is America, and women can do and wear what they damn well please. In my opinion, it's about doing, feeling, and looking your best. And some women, including myself, have Barbie-doll complexes.(All my Barbie's were black, Daddy wouldn't allow the white ones, Thank God)I wore a weave for years and it caused my hair to actually relax and grow. I don't wear my weave now, but I'm still the same sista, fiercely lovin herself,and unapologetically doing it as I please. Please allow fellow women to be independent minded and beautiful in their very own ways. We are not all the same people and should not be expected to be. We have to allow each other to be our very own best individuals. Our very, very best.

I can't see Chrisette's hair all that well against that dark back ground. Amerie's new color is pretty, but against her skintone, it washes her out. I kinda like the long hair better on Christina Milian, but she still looks adorable.

Excellent post, Asia. I'm so sick of people calling black women who wear weaves self haters. I often wonder do they feel the same way about white women who wear extensions? Why do black women always attack each other and feel like we should all dress and be the same?
