Ashanti recently explained the concept behind her "The Way I Love You" video. The R&B songbird said the video was inspired by Oxygen's documentary series, "Snapped". Beyonce has had brunette hair a lot of times. Plus, she has wore her hair in braids, straight, afro, curly, etc... So it's not like she's trying to promote any white standard of beauty. I kind of want to know why it's only a problem with Beyonce having blonde hair. I never see many black women saying that Mary J. Blige, Keyshia Coles, TBoz or Salt-n-Pepa back in the day wanted to be white. Is it because Beyonce came from a two parent household and a middle class background that some people always act like she want to be white? Why can't we be happy for the sister that she didn't have to struggle. She goes out of her wait to represent and honor black women in her career. But some of us seem like we can never give her a break. I've seen quite a lot of black people go naturally blond because if they live near bodies out of water their hair gets bleached from the sun and the sea water. Not to mention some of us our born with blondish hair. So it's not only a white thing. I've a feeling that Beyonce was just trying out a shade because she's playing Etta James, who had blonde hair for good part of her career. Was Etta trying to be white? Some of you really need to cut a sister like Beyonce a break.

It kind of looks like it could be a weave, but it kind of reminds me of the wig that Gwen Stefani was wearing last year. Beyonce made it longer and thicker. I kind of like it, in a weird way. I think that she was probably trying out the color for her role as Etta James. Her ensemble is hot. I like the black-on-black. Either way, Beyonce, girl you're fabulous and fierce for trying new things.

If it was on somebody else, it would still look like chit. I think people should be able to wear their hair anyway they friggin please to wear it, but this does not look right on her, and we were asked for our opinions and we gave it. However, if Beyonce likes it, hey that's all that matters anyway. I'm sure she could care less what we think.
