Barack O. is back from his Virgin Islands vacay and was spotted arriving at Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art today to give a speech on economic policies. And only he can make something that boring look so sexy. By the way, Common defended Barack (somewhat) from the Rev. Wright hoopla in an interview with Black Voices. And the Senator himself will appear on The View tomorrow. Can't wait to see him shut Elisabeth's ass down real quick.

T.I. gave a mini press conference after entering his guilty plea re: gun charges this afternoon. The sentencing is spoken about before he takes the mic. It's been real Clifford...

Sisters Tamika and Latocha Scott--formerly of Xscape--hit up Atlanta's V-103 radio station today to chat about what they've been up to. And apparently they have teamed up with Keyshia Cole's manager Manny to develop their new reality show called Life After Xscape. So 90's comeback group reality tv is the new fab? Salt N Pepa, I Married A Baller, etc. Whatev. No word on when or what channel it will air. I just want to know if Tiny will bogard the show to have like 2 whole episodes about her giving birth to her new baby. Something's got to make this ish interesting.

Do you turn it because it makes your friends uncomfortable, or is it you that is uncomfortable listening to a song that happens to be on the cd...afraid they'll assume that just because Common said it, and you bought the CD, that you agree...and what would they think if you did or didn't agree. Be serious with yourself, "accidentally" let the song play just once...see what kind of reaction you get. If they express that they are offended, all that there is to loose is the time you'll spend discussing it in a mature way so they'll feel better about their so-called "white-guilt". If they are too "upset" to talk about it then maybe they aren't the "friends" you thought they were...no telling what they're listening to when you're not around.

I'm not surprised Common is defending his pastor, because he is very much like that pastor, in that they are ALL about their people [black people]. They have a way of bring out that "white guilt" in white people, it makes them uncomfortable, thats why they have an issue with it. Why are people sympathetic to T.I??? There are people with real problems in this world. Here is someone who perhaps had a rough or not so easy upbringing who was blessed by God with the opportunity to change his life for good (and also those of his family)! What he sees fit to do is carry a disgusting amount of firearms ...I just wonder for what purpose? Was he planning to go to Iraq? Perhaps join child soldiers in Sierra Leone? What in the hell was the weaponry for? IMO he is an example of the problem with affluence and ignorance. Point blank he a real dumb ass!
