Nothing spectacular. It sound’s very mediocer, and like everything else out there. It doesn’t have a refreshing and new feel to it. Its like everybody’s saying the same thing these days. If we aren’t fresh then we’re freaking people in the bed, in the club, in a G4, or we’re self centered and demanding people to get like us. Music now days is so far from where it started from. This thing we call music is by far NOT! the hotness. No one outside of the industry can relate. I know I don’t have a bently, a mantion, and a jewlery box so icey it belongs in a freezer. Reality needs to return to music and let television create fantasy. In other words…slim I loved you in your 112 days, but this solo effort get’s a fat ass HELL NAW!

Boring.. fell asleep just listening to it…

I mean, I wish Slim the best but Im gonna miss sexy Que (the chocolate one). This song is generic but he probably has better slow ballads. 112 slow songs were always better than the faster ones.

Whoa! That was hot! LOVES IT! If this is what Slim is bringing to the table I’m ready for his CD right now.

After reading the comments I assume the lyrics weren’t hitting on much. I wasn’t really listening to the words. The beat, melody and Joc’s flow were just on point to me. I was dancing in my seat. It’s too bad the lyrics were not up to par (I guess).

I’ve always liked his voice. can’t wait for his album out cuz i thought that he was gone gone.

what she said. his voice is nice and i always liked him. but what happened to music that could really affect you? is it ever coming back to the mainstream? or are we always gonna be “so fly” and snappin our fingers? i’m mad.

and regarding the “make the p***y beatbox” line: mr. joc, please get it together.
ugly men always wanna make something beatbox.

I kind a like it. When I think of 112, I can’t help but smile. When they were hot I was younger, FREE, and having the time of my life!!! The good old days. *sigh*

I agree that it’s not the deepest song and obviously music isn’t where it needs to be but clearly the man wasn’t going for a song that would speak to our higher thought or lyrical content…he was trying to make us feel the music…it’s a club banger. So for what it is I think it’s fly!
On Apr 19, 2008 | Reply | Quote
song is straight… kinda plain, but it has a nice feel to it
On Apr 19, 2008 | Reply | Quote
The song is catchy, but his voice is STILL annoying… I would love AND hate to see him & Lloyd on a song together….
for obvious reasons..
it’s decent. i don’t hate the song.

*yawn* I’ll always have love for Slim of course, but umm…this is very middle of the road…he could’ve done better. I’m sure it’ll be stuck in my head within a couple of weeks anyway, just like Love in this Club *shrugs*

Sigh…. It seems that these days music is JUST about making the benjamins rather than artistic integrity - i.e. mindless drivel. To coin an old English phrase… What a load of Bollocks!!!

eww DEFIINITELY not!
I always thought Slim messed up the songs, his voice is annoying. Especially in “What If”.
I cant even play it all the way through, it’s a headache waiting to happen.

Haha. Slim’s not so slim any more. Umm..I support him becauz all 112 fans know that he isn’t the greatest singer all time but Slim’s part was crucial to the sound of 112.I kinda like it except the fact that Slim has to invite young joc who is quite “popular” (roling eyes) these days. It must be hard to be a solo after all these years with other 112s. He gets my vote. The sound is indeed fresh. Pretty good as his first single.

HATED IT!!! How old is Slimm again? - he has to be is his 30’s!! He’s too old, I’ll say mature to be singing about something that Chris Brown is singing about. He should’ve made something for the LADIES not for the young girls. Something for the LADIES that grew up listening to 112. Plus his voice is kinda annoying, I thought it would’ve gotten deeper with age. A man singing soprano is not my thang!

Ain’t it the truth? I’m still holding out hope that Usher has something more for me, because while I have relented and begun tapping my toes to “Love in this Club”, I am aware that the song sucks. Slim needs to get his weight up on something other than his midsection and come with a better one if he really thinks he can do with this sans the rest of the group.

Feels good to hear his voice. Nice beat, but I’d prefer to hear him crooning. Can’t wait for the grown & sexy ballets.
On Apr 25, 2008 | Reply | Quote
I LOVE SLIM! (prob from the “112 days”). The beat itself is sexy and catchy. I think a better rapper woulda made it better, Joc’s not so hot. With the exception of Beyonce and Justin Timberlake, it’s really hard for singers to break from the group and still be successful. I wish him luck. Guess we’ll see how this goes…

Those of you criticizing this song and personally attacking Slim should hold judgement. If you have heard or listened to the other songs he is releasing on his track you may really enjoy it. The guy puts romance back in R&B.
This song sounds like a good intro type song to a cd. His other songs are I’ve heard are on point!
