Ashanti performed at R&B Live last night in NY with Lloyd and Ryan Leslie. And lots of folks were in the mix:
Gayle King was there and Ashanti looked fab in that dress and Louboutins. I loved the whole look this time around.
Hot makeup too. Too bad her man Nelly wasn’t there in the mix though.

And he kicked it with the Gotti brothers repping the Inc of course. Speaking of that, YBF sources on the scene. And I hear that Ashanti and Irv barely said a word to each other. But she did give her obligatory shout out to The Inc.
VIBE Editor-in-Chief Danyel Smith was there.
So were Erik Nicks and Shanti Das of First Class Ent.
Flo Rida made an appearance.
So did Anthony Anderson.
Stephen Hill and Sylvia Rhone kicked it.
Erik and Q-Tip kicked it.

Then she joined in on the hits and gave snippets of all, but performed “The Way That I Love You” all the way and once again she KILLED IT…
Go on Ashanti and to the doubters out there, lets give “Declaration” a chance. It may impress you. Rememeber, you have danced/grooved/had fun with Ashanti hits, so you never know lol.

Overall, the event was pure fabulousness. Lots of beautiful black successful folks and lots of reeeeeeally good food. It was a bit crowded for my taste but enjoyable non-the-less….
