Check out Solange's fabulous new promo flicks:

Her album SoL-AngeL & The Hadley Street Dreams has an official release date of August 26th. She enlisted Cee-Lo, Pharrell, Marsha Ambrosius, Rapheal Saadiq, and folks to co-write and lend vocals to her tracks. The lead single "I Decided" just had the video shot for it and here's the scoop on that form the press release just sent out: The video for “I Decided,” directed by the creative Melina, will offer the viewer a glimpse of who Solange, the visionary, really is: It is the ultimate pop art piece. Its psychedelic, it’s adventurous, it’s colorful and not so colorful, it’s intelligent, and it’s the inner makings of Solange. [Solange states,] “I love pop art; in fact I am a painter myself and have several pieces under my belt that I haven’t put on display but soon plan to.” The “I Decided” video deals with pop culture from the 60s to the future. It displays SoL-AngeL in settings from American Bandstand, to the Civil Rights Movement, to New Wave, and finally a “Cosmic Journey” future. I can't even front. Her sound is quite refreshing these days. It's not the usual diluted R&B sound suffocating the game right now. And she's separating herself from her sister and the other R&B chicks by just doing her. um hold up...teairra is 50 times better than rihanna. this girl,vocally,has one of the best voices out rihanna on the the other hand....no. she only got to the top because she swagger jacked every other female in the game,lets be honest and she's not a very good singer..at all. yes,shes pretty but..thats pretty much it. im rooting for teairra,i love her new song

I don't see or hear what's so different about Solange's look or music. To me, she comes off as something she is not. I didn't even recognize Teairra in that picture. She looks cute though, minus the clothing.

This is not solange's first

This is not solange's first single or first CD. Way back when Destiny's child was famous, a little before Beyonce really blew up, Solange had a cd and I even saw one of her videos. I think Method man rapped on it. I think it was called solo star. It was okay so I hope this one is better than the last.

I just watched the CNN clip

I just watched the CNN clip and I actually like Solange...she has a offscreen/stage confidence that her sister is still trying to find. Maybe it comes from being a mother and having to grow up faster than planned. She has one thing that all stars need and that is personality. + some of my favorite artist are going to be on her album....more reason for me to check it out.

Solo's picture one and two look really nice. The third pic is nice, but it looks like she took a page out of Beyonces photo album. The fourth pic, is the only pic I was not feeling. I cant wait to hear Tierra's new cd. I was listening to her old one today..strangely enough. Im surprised any of my burned cds still work.

And, FYI: Cameron is a different blogger. As far as issues, U suggested that we "sit down somewhere" just because we don't think she is that great of a vocalist. As mentioned, opinions are just opinions. I JUST noticed you replied twice to either me (or Cameron). If my (or the other) opinion doesn't matter, then why acknowledge and reply? I am sure having Bouncy referred to as Beyowulf, Beyaki, Beyukkakah, etc is something you have seen before and will again. Get over it.
