Costume Institute Gala At The Metropolitan Museum of Art
Celebs were out in full force at last night’s New York Met event of the year-the Costume Institute Gala. Pretty much everyone brought their couture and fashion A-Game:
A wedding ringless Beyonce, Mary J Blige in Michael Kors, Thandie Newton, Djimon, Kimora, Paula Patton with her hubby Robin Thicke all turned out.
Lots more celebrities bringing the fabulosity when you read the rest…
I just had to post Eva Longoria-Parker because I fell in love with the Marchesa gown and the whole look:

Joy Bryant and KiKi both rocked the geometric look:
And somehow this Kevan Hall dress of KiKi’s worked for me too. Maybe because this is a costume inspired gala they’re attending and it just fits.
Venus Williams got attacked by Andre Leon Talley’s cape:
Andre rocked the Armani double breasted shawl collared tux.
J. Lo hit the carpet still looking fab post babies:

Thandie looked hot in her Chanel bodice dress and cape (that actually works unlike Andre’s):
Only she could pull off a dress and entire look like this.
Janet and JD looked frightened. Maybe because Janet rocked the most simple look out of everybody pretty much for once.

Beyonce, thank God, is wearing any other dress than canary yellow bedazzled/uber -embellished ones of the past. Her gown is pretty(soft pink suites her). Her hair should have been more J.lo-ish. I think she was going for the “more is less look” which is hard to pull off, but she did .
Zoe took her look back to the 30’s and I love it; her hair looks pretty.
