DMX & Al Sharpton Locked Up…Again+Beyonce’s Midnight Cravings

I guess Popeye’s restaurants (Bey’s usual indulgence) are hard to come by in NY. Beyonce was in serious need of a burger fix right after the Metropolitan Costume Gala the other night and stopped by Pop Burger still in her ball gown…with Jay in tow…to get them to open their doors after closing time and bag up some burgers for them to go. Midnight cravings huh? I ain’t speculating but um….

Police have caught up with DMX more than three months after he was allegedly snapped speeding at over 100mph. Earl Simmons was arrested at his home by cops who claim he smashed the 65mph speed limit at three separate checkpoints. Officers in Scottsdale, Arizona, say DMX was captured on speed cameras burning up the freeway in a yellow 1966 Chevy Nova II with his name emblazoned across the windscreen.  And I put 5 on it his wife Tashera was sitting in the passenger seat tingling all over at the thought of her man breaking the law yet again.  Cleary she thinks this ish is sexy.  Get it together Earl.

Al Sharpton was arrested yesterday after protesting in NYC the acquittal of the three cops involved in the Sean Bell case.  He along with other protestors (including Sean Bell’s fiance Nicole) were arrested on disorderly conduct charges.  He got out early this morning and met with new NY Governor Patterson.  But was Al really disorderly?  Or was his perm just sweated out and that qualified as disorderly?  It was indeed kinda hot yesterday.  Let me stop.  On a more serious note, I appluad him and the others for standing up for what they believe justice should be.

When I first heard the verdict Al Sharpton said that he would protest in Harlem. Although a good idea I always felt that Manhattan in the middle of the day i timesquare would make the difference. A bunch of black people on that lil island where the ticket booths are would shut it down. But wherever he goes I am in support.

Go to New York Times.com (i’m sure Natasha won’t mind in this instance) so you can see why these police must be stopped from thinking that they are above the law! The best way to beat the system is from within the system - we need to groom our children towards higher education and some law classes. Seriously - if they aren’t going to go straight to Law School - at least we need them to know the laws and loopholes.
We have to play the game by the same set or rules (fair or not) if we want to win.
It is not 1965 - it is 2008 and only getter later.
We need a NEW way to fight the injustices we face as a people. I feel higher education is the only real way.
My father taught me the 10 point platform of the Black Panther Party - he taught me the rules and bylaws of the party - and one key thing I learned is that they were not just walking around carrying guns spewing black power - they were running for political offices, they knew the law and all thier rights - they operated within thier rights and were sure to not break the law in any way - including something as simple as using profanity. that’s why they called the cops PIGS. You can’t curse in the street - its disorderly conduct - you could be locked up for that or at least fined.
So these young black men learned the system and proceeded to work it in the interest of the people.
See how fast they shut them down - so you know where the real threat is - its in EDUCATED PEOPLE.
It can take one generation to begin to really turn this around - JUST ONE.
    AND THAT IS REAL TALK!

I’m thinking that maybe they were just now closing and you know how if it’s 2:01 a.m., Wendy’s or whoever will shut it down. I know if I worked there I would put in a little overtime to flip a burger or two and put some fries in some grease for Beyonce or hell even my momma! I don’t think it was THAT serious to be considered a “STUNT”

I’m not agreeing with what they did, but they probably shut down the restaurant so they could actually eat. Had they come in with the other customers, they would’ve had to leave because fans can get out of hand. I don’t think it has as much to do with breathing the same air as their fans–at least not as much as it has to do with eating in peace. It’s a lose-lose situation…

And from your previous comments your opinion has never been favorable of them so save this pity me I was a fan story

I’m just mad that they opened the door after hours!!! Don’t they know that their are imposters out there!?! A Bonnie and Clyde pretending to be Bey and Jay trying to rob a burger joint. I’m just jealous that they can folks to cook them a burger after hours. I would’ve had to wait until the next business day!

Thank you…they wouldn’t do that for us little people! All we would get is a rolling of the eye, sucking of the teeth, and would be told: ‘We Closed shawty’!

oh somebody’s disgusted with black people today *eyes roll*…cry me a river…them Philly cops didn’t have to do all that to handcuff them…the Jena 6 victims aren’t perfect, doesn’t mean they deserved to go to jail for retaliating against some racist ofays. i get that you’re frustrated and i guess your frustration frustrates me…

Guess what we all have a right to our opinion and that’s mine and I’m sticking to it…I am frustrated with our people we just don’t seem to get it nor do some of us even care to. We are the only group of people that can continously be taken advantage of, there must be something wrong with that. It starts with us, we need to get our sH** together and stop worrying about the latest hip-hop album or gucci to hit the stores.

    Real Talk…Thats Whatsup

    Well said and so true!

Indeed. It’s also such a shame that people are freaking out about Beyonce when social injustices need our attention
