Nas' new album cover is out and it looks like he's trying to still relay the same message as his previous title "N*gger" did. Apparently the new name is Nas, not Nasir like previously reported.

Now, by using cash only, I have become much more conscious of my spending. If I know that I only have $100, then I won't spend all of it because I hate the inconvenience of going to the bank. I have saved more money than I thought was even possible. Shoot, I have two savings, one Christmas club and my Roth IRA account sitting kinda pretty right now. But I won't touch any of them unless it's a for real rainy day or emergency siltation. My goal is to be psuedo-debt free (that mortgage isn't go anywhere, lol) by the end of 2009. If I could just get those doggone Direct Loans paid off...honnnney!!!

The Nas cover is dope. I like "Roots" theme. Some of you guys are missing the point. Nas isn't trying to say nigger or nigga is an ok word to say nor is he trying to make people stop saying the word. Come on now that's impossible, because it's already a part of a lot people's everyday language anyway and most of those people probably won't stop because of the controversy of 1 album. Nas is simply analyzing the word's roots. Doing something entirely different rather bragging about his wealth and other materalistic things. And some of y'all are straight up hypocrites that listen to other rappers but are giving Nas such a hard time about the political message he's trying to send, when 99% of rappers use the N word. Including the conscious rappers like Little Brother, Common, and Lupe. I totally disagreed with him naming the album the N word initally though, but then again Def Jam wasn't EVER going allow him to do that anyway. Nas knew this, but acted like it was gonna happen anyway in order to attract nationwide attention and it worked. I don't think this album will be well recieved, but I like the direction he was taking with this. Some people may not get it, but I think at least a few people will.

He has always been the one to push the envelope and make u think...Anyone who is 25 years and older and respects the relevant part of Hip Hop understands this cover....I mean damn we are reduced to Lollipop and Superman that hoe....But some of u think that is music...please..... I'm very Proud of NAS. He's doing what he has to do to get his message to so many people who are brainwashed, ignorant and uneducated. Not just to us Black People, but to all kinds. I have read many comments from some who say, "the cover is nasty" and they're regurgitating from the sight of the cover. If you knew of the true history and strength behind those lashes, you would praise NAS for making this powerful move. This cover says, "I will not forget!! I refuse to forget". It's funny how so many strive to remember "their His-story", instead of their own. This society wants us to forget where our roots and strength came from and what our ancestors have been through.
