Thank You YBF for this very important message, alot of us (Black People) don't want to talk about HIV and in my opinion that's why it's hitting our community so hard. I have been living with HIV for over 14 years (never thought it could happen to me) and I thank God I was tested. Because once I knew my status I could start really taking care of myself, I changed my eating habits, I now get the right amount of rest and I QUIT smoking cigarettes. I am passionate about this cause because I now know HIV is preventable. To all of you who are saying "that will never be me" remember that's what ALL of us who are positive said...

I think it's unfortunate that this particular post had the least amount of comments. People make it their business to comment on Rihanna's fashion choices, or Beyonce's relationship, but when it comes to discussing important life issues, very few have something to say. It's time to get it together... I choose to live.

Unfortunately, the country is which I reside (Jefferson County, AL) has the country's highest rate of syphilis cases per 100,000, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
