Da Brat Is Going To Prison!

Sucks to be Da Brat right now. She was just officially sentenced to 3 years in lock up thanks to her assault charges stemming from an altercation with a waitress named Shayla Stevens back in October of last year. Da Brat must also serve seven years of probation and complete 200 hours of community service. Da Brat was at a halloween party at Jermaine Dupri's Studio 72 when she hauled off and bashed ATL Falcon cheerleader and Studio 72 waitress Shayla Stevens in the head with a bottle. Apparently words were exchanged right before that and it just escalated. Our guess is that the waitress wasn't trying to give Brat the punani and Brat wasn't having that. Click here for the recap from our source who was on the scene of the party/altercation. Brat was taken to jail that nght...in her clown suit. And today she was sentenced to 3 years in lock up. Now her half sister LisaRaye is gonna have to bite another trick for getting her sister sent to jail. Damn.

I hope some of yallarent being hypocrites like alot of black women on other blogs. The ones who praise when Brat, Remy and Foxy get prison sentences, but at the same time bleed hearts when T.I. and Wanye got busted.

SMH….. i dont know what to make of this.. i mean whats the FULL story?? because im finding it hard to believe she just walked up to ole girl and smashed a bottle in her face… so this really doesn’t make any sense. But with that said…3 years!!! damn thats a long time that means she aint getting out til 2011…. but people really need to learn to control their tempers. But im sure if she behaves they’ll let her out early for good behaviour.

i don't get the justice

i don't get the justice system any more than anyone else, but i do know 2 things about it: 1)you play hard, you pay hard. and, 2)one case (where this horrible excuse for a parent has sold her kid for drugs, i digress..)cannot be a template for others (da brat hitting this chick upside the head cuz she wouldn't give her no play)you NEVER know what came out in the courtrooms, and sometimes its a matter of who your defense is. nothing is black and white (except a piano, but again...) and shaunte needs to keep her hands to herself, but i'm sure big bertha gone make she do right..yeah, she's done a lot for the game, but thugs and bullies are not the business. let's do better, brat..well, when you get out..
