If Jay Z can resurrect Lil Kim's career, then he is one hell of a manager. I haven't given up on her yet... I think she still has a few good hits left in her. However, she needs to dig deep and really focus on making this a hit album. After all, she doesn't have much competition right now. Focus on yourself instead of trying to keep up with the new comers (Nicki Minaj, etc.) and you should be good, good luck Kim.

I agree with a few others that Kim does need an entire makeover. She did take the surgeries a little too far and this made anyone watching her perform focus how she looked first, and second on the music. And yes, Kim's image (sex-fueled, sex-driven) has worked for her in the past, but she has "the voice". I know Big created the lyrics but she has "the voice" and can deliver whatever is put before her like a champ. So, all those things being said, I am hoping that Jay can bring another layer to Kim. I'm someone that has listened to her stuff since I was a youngin in high school. I've grown up and I hope Kim's sound/work can too. Female emcee are few and far between these day, I just want to see the diversity amongst them that we once had. Back in the day you could have a sex-pistol like Kim, but there was balance to that from a Lauren Hill, and then a spitter like Lyte, or some woman power stuff from Salt N Pepa, or an Afro-Centric Queen Latifah. The variety of black women in the country, could be seen from those represented in the music. It seems like in today's scheme of things, female rappers all have taken what Kim did with a sexual image and lyrical content, and taken it as though there is nothing else to rap about. Coming from someone who was a hip hop head growing up, as a little girl looking at a Lauren Hill, I felt a sense of pride and she commanded that respect. Kim is different, and in a different category all together but I bumped her stuff too. I would like to see her come back strong....and will be watching this pan-out.
