I guess it's safe to say Cleveland Cavaliers majority owner Dan Gilbert is PIS-SAY.  Understandably upset behind Lebron ditching the Cavs to go with a star line up in Miami (whether Bron made a good move or not), Mr. Gilbert aint having it.

Check out his temper tantrum of an open letter he wrote last night in response to Lebron's decision when you read on.  It's got everybody up in arms...

The letter he posted on NBA.com:

Dear Cleveland, All Of Northeast Ohio and Cleveland Cavaliers Supporters Wherever You May Be Tonight;

As you now know, our former hero, who grew up in the very region that he deserted this evening, is no longer a Cleveland Cavalier.

This was announced with a several day, narcissistic, self-promotional build-up culminating with a national TV special of his "decision" unlike anything ever "witnessed" in the history of sports and probably the history of entertainment.

Clearly, this is bitterly disappointing to all of us.

The good news is that the ownership team and the rest of the hard-working, loyal, and driven staff over here at your hometown Cavaliers have not betrayed you nor NEVER will betray you.

There is so much more to tell you about the events of the recent past and our more than exciting future. Over the next several days and weeks, we will be communicating much of that to you.

You simply don't deserve this kind of cowardly betrayal.

You have given so much and deserve so much more.

In the meantime, I want to make one statement to you tonight:

You can take it to the bank.

If you thought we were motivated before tonight to bring the hardware to Cleveland, I can tell you that this shameful display of selfishness and betrayal by one of our very own has shifted our "motivation" to previously unknown and previously never experienced levels.

Some people think they should go to heaven but NOT have to die to get there.

Sorry, but that's simply not how it works.

This shocking act of disloyalty from our home grown "chosen one" sends the exact opposite lesson of what we would want our children to learn. And "who" we would want them to grow-up to become.

But the good news is that this heartless and callous action can only serve as the antidote to the so-called "curse" on Cleveland, Ohio.

The self-declared former "King" will be taking the "curse" with him down south. And until he does "right" by Cleveland and Ohio, James (and the town where he plays) will unfortunately own this dreaded spell and bad karma.

Just watch.

Sleep well, Cleveland.

Tomorrow is a new and much brighter day....

I PROMISE you that our energy, focus, capital, knowledge and experience will be directed at one thing and one thing only:

DELIVERING YOU the championship you have long deserved and is long overdue....

Dan Gilbert
Majority Owner
Cleveland Cavaliers

WOMP!  Some folks are saying it was straight disrespectful and unprofessional and Gilbert should be fined.  Others are still burning "James" jerseys as we speak, so they feel the letter was warranted.  Your thoughts?

In other Bron Bron news, his alleged self-proclaimed Daddy has some holes in his story.  Shocker.  Leicester Stovell's own brother Junior says the family never believed his story about being Lebron's biological father, but Lei really believes it in his own mind.  It's fishy at best.

I hope Miami wipe their BUTTS

I hope Miami wipe their BUTTS all over Cleveland! People who thing that this man owes you anything are morons! Lebron put in the work and made the right decision FOR HIM. If you want a championship, start practicing and get on the court yourself! Ugh...

Absolutely agree that he has

Absolutely agree that he has the right to go where ever he wants. But have at least a tiny bit of class. He talks about loyalty and family as he's publicly on national TV shattering any meaning of those words. Pleazzzzz.... He could have told the Cavs (as Bosh did the Rators) right from the start that he was going somewhere else. He's messing with peoples minds, yet on national TV. I also agree that the owners letter was a bad idea (childish), unprofessional, but most people in Cleveland (and knowledgeable about the situation) would agree he's right. Did you guys listen to Lebron talk, God I could believe it on national TV. Believe me many many many people all around the country (with no connection to Cleveland) watched and recognized that he so narcissistic, self-centered and dis-loyal. Many thought that already, now it as just been confirm. It almost makes you believe in that "Karma" comment. His image is forever reshaped (not in a good way).

Omg Calm Down ! After He's Been With That Team For 7 Years , He Deserves To Be Able To Make His Own Decision . The Cavs Will NOT Win A Ring Before Bron . Now That's Just Crazy To Even Think That . I'm Happy For LeBron . Let The Haters Hate !!

Go Lebron, u can see that the owner of the Cavs is a trip, it's all about business, if Lebron was a class B player and if the cavs wanted to trade the player do u think that he or the organization would have told them in advance? i can answer that HELL No!!!!!!!!!!!!......... do u Lebron, b/c the white man don't care about u, he would be a CASH cow. The owner made his self look like a jacka**

its lebron james decision..

its lebron james decision.. the reason we went to the NBA is succeed in getting Championship. It's been 6 yrs and he didnt get any. He thinks switching teams will do him good then good for him.. lord have mercy people Stop taking this ish personally.. It's his career, LET HIM DO HIM!...

I agree that one has a right

I agree that one has a right to make their own decisions regarding their career, 7 years promising (which you should never do for something you have no control over) a ring or not is a long time, most stay in their position about 5-7 years before they start to wonder what their next move should be BUT I think most would feel an anguish over making a decision that would hurt someone, hence the Cavs organization - Lebron clearyly is full of himself, selfish and way too cocky and that's what's gonna be his downfall - no tact or humility - no one humble would allow such a big hoorah about nothin'! So I tell you this, I agree with the owner in the fact the Lebron will fall but not because of him or his organization but because he done made himself bigger than GOD and just as he showed those that had the nerve to say "not even GOD can sink it" (the Titanic) he shall fall. He should have made his business decision with much more grace and humility as GOD wanted. "For he has giveth, in he shall taketh away" (The Bible)
tanyamichelle's picture

The reason why it was such a

The reason why it was such a big deal was due to the fact that all proceeds go to the boys and girls' clubs of cleveland, miami, and chicago- the three teams he had meetings with before he chose miami. And instead of being poor Cavs, they should just get better players and put their money where their mouth is. For goodness sakes, team owners don't use humility, tactfulness, and grace when they trade players. They just let their asses go and call it day. So don't make it seem like it's such a big deal. There's other things to worry, for instance, our own economy, the oil spill and how it's affecting our nation. Also God doesn't like or approve when people curse and speak evil/negativity on others, how's that for quoting the Bible. Please go read Psalms and Proverbs before you speak and use Bible quotes in your comments.

I LOVE LEBRON. THAT IS MY FAVORITE PLAYER EVER. But his decision is so bad to me. Your going to DWAYNE WADE's team where he's already won a championship. He's always going to be known as second-best. Even if they do win, it won't mean as much because Dwayne Wade has already won it. And I also see it as him giving up. You PROMISED Cleveland a ring, and your leaving without giving them that. It just doesn't make sense because even if they win, it wont mean as much as it would if he had won it for Cleveland. I am a Cleveland fan and I have watched the Cavs since LeBron got in the NBA so its very heart-breaking to know that LeBron will never be able to win a ring for the team you've been rooting for, for 7 years. I've been there from them not making it into the playoffs to then being the 8th seed, from LeBron playing his heart out in Game 5 against the Pistons, them going to the finals and not winning, from them switching players...It's so much. LeBron was only getting better and will only get better which will get him closer to him getting is ring. I just don't understand it. I don't see the good in this decision at all. But I guesss whatever makes him happy. I will still be a huge fan of LeBron as well as the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Anonymous's picture

I agree with you I just dont

I agree with you I just dont think that it is a good decision because he will definately be in Wade's shadow. I have played in college and was the first girls team ever to win a championship at my school and that was the greatest feeling then i transferred 2 years later and won another championship where we were the first girls team to ever win at that school. there is nothing like winning a chamionship because you did it, Even if they get a ring in miami it wont be the same because its already been done by Wade. I feel like he gave up just like he did in game 2, 4, &6 of the playoffs against boston. I agree with the owner. I honestly hope they get a ring before him.
nicole's picture

Lebron been carrying that

Lebron been carrying that team for 7 years. He gotta look out for his best interest. If Cavs wanted to really win a championship they would've gotten a better supporting cast for him. Who else on the team is really going to take them to the promise land. That's why they wanted to give him ridiculous amount of money to stay. Lebron took a pay cut to go to a team that he felt better fit with and knew that he was gonna get a championship. Was it the easy way out? Yeah. You got all-star players like Wade and Bosh by your side. But it just shows how bad he wanted a ring. I still think he should've went to the Bulls 'cause it would've been a better fit. I mean Bosh can play with both of them but I hope there's no ego issues with Wade and Lebron. At the end Cavs need to get it together and move the fuck on and stop crying over one player. It just shows what kind of team they are. Some ungrateful cry babies. If it wasn't for Lebron they wouldn't have made it so far in the play off.

Oh my freakin goodness!! All

Oh my freakin goodness!! All of this underserved stress that people are putting on LeBron James is ridiculous! LEBRON DOESN'T OWE CLEVELAND ANYTHING!!! I am shocked and utterly disgusted at people right now for the acts that they have done in regards to his decision. The bottom line is IT IS HIS DECISION. If you were true fans of LeBron then you would support him no matter what. This just suggests to me that he is viewed as merely a work horse and nothing more. "If he's not doing anythingf or us, then screw him!" What kind of mess is that? Burning jerseys.... owners wishing upon curses...? Seriously people, this is the stuff that keeps this world headed to shambles. LeBron is still just a human being and cannot be fault for a decision that effects him. Where were you when he was struggling as a youth while leaning to basketball as an outlet? Where were you when he was just LeBron James from down the street? No where! I am deeply disturbed at this letter and most importantly at the people behind this. LeBron, I support you and wish you much success in your future games and career. Bless you and your family.

That wanna be slave owner motherfucker needs a foot up his ass. How is LJ NOT loyal? I'll tell you what is not loyal. A fucked up co-worker (players are technically co-workers) sleeping with your mother and everyone else knows about it except you. Giving your fucking heart every time you step on the court knowing EVERYONE is depending on you even though you're a TEAM. But your bullshit ass team mates can't even step up to the plate enough to help you win a fuckin ring for your own hometown. Who wants that kind of ball and chain? Hell who wants a ball and chain period? Sit your sorry white ass down somewhere--NO ONE wants to hear all that bitch ass crying. Lebron doesn't owe anyone shit.

People need to get a grip and stop putting all their hopes and dreams into one person. The brother has every right to make choices that are best for him. He devoted 7 years to the Cavs let the brother move on. I'm sure it hurts him that he is moving on but it was meant to be. All these people writing negative letters, cursing the brother out and burning his jerseys were never fans of his in the first place and didn't care about him. So what he didnt pick your team keep it moving and pray your franchise picks other players that will make a great nba team. God bless him and I pray he wins a whole bunch of rings. The owner has a lot of growing up to do because that is not professional behavior. Yes he has every right to speak his mind but should be able to speak in a professional manner as well.

This loser is a nothing more than an arrogant racist that lost millions as a result of Lebron's decision. His pocketbook is crying, he does not have one ounce of integrity or professionalism in his body. Have you seen his blog ? http://choosethinking.com/ This guy speaks as though he has sipped the juice on more than one occasion? He is a Juicer!!! BTW, his father ran a bar as a business....uuummmm. He probably wrote his letter with an opened bottle of Cognac. Swap Lebron w/ Larry Bird, would he say the same things about a white guy? His BOY did not obey and now he is pissed. Glad Lebron made the right decision. THis guy is the classic idiot that unfortunately has enough FU money to say anything he wants with very little repercussion. Shame on the NBA Commissioner clown who had no vision or insight to anticipate this tirade.

GET MAD AT GILBERT. Bron gave them 7 years of his life and they failed to give him star players. He cant rot there and carry the whole team. He wants to go down in history for winning championships. They made it as far as they did because of him. So blame Gilbert for not recruiting good players. Heat had enough sense to position themselves for greatness. And Gilbert made plenty of money off tickets and jerseys since Bron been there so he is only mad he wont be making that paper off him. GOOD DECISION BRON WE GOT YOUR BACK BOO!!
Anonymous's picture

So this guy thought he

So this guy thought he what...owned Lebron? Let's see more money, better team players, better weather in a hotter location for someone of Lebron'a age, I think Lebron gave Cleveland the respect they were due by PRETENDING it was such a hard decision in the first place. Lebron would have been a star player no matter where he was and since in 7 years they couldn't deliver him a ring he's moving on to seek one elsewhere. Better that than to end up like Patrick Ewing who stayed with the Knicks out of loyalty until he was so old and used up no other team would have wanted him and until time after time of not delivering a ring all but the most loyal Knicks fans turned on him and booed him at games. Best of luck Lebron, hope I can make it to a game or two in that hot vacation spot that's now your home!!

If you are going to put

If you are going to put yourself in this line of fire why not go somewhere that you can have a chance at the ring. Bron will not get a ring in Miami. He had a better chance in Chicago. Rose is a better player than Wade. Sure, they have Bosh but Chicago has Boozer (with more experience). Miami still has to get a supporting cast. Chicago has Noah and Gibson. I don't think Cleveland would have been as mad if he went to Chicago. Thats right next door. I tell you one thing, dude has a HUGE target on his back. Everyone is going to be looking to knock this dude off this throne he has put his self on. I can't wait till the season starts
IfThisIsIt's picture

you have got to be

you have got to be kidding!?!?!? Rose better than Wade!!!! You just lost all your credibility. Go sit in the corner and think about how dumb that sounds. Wade is top "3" in the league. Get your mind right!
K_Cino's picture

Rose is a better player than

Rose is a better player than Wade??? Rose has only been in the league for 2 years and he has little playoff experience. They haven't made it passed the 1st round yet. Yeah Boozer is good but the rest of the team is too young to understand what it takes to win a title. Wade has already won a title, miraculously i might add because no one expected them to beat the Mavs, and he's been in the league for 7 years. It's the same with him too. He knows he can't win a title with the team he has so he recruited both LeBron and Bosh.

Yes, I too have opinions about LeBron's big "decision". But maybe instead of sitting here glued to our televisions, watching LeBron James decide for an hour, we need to be rioting together for the genocide happening, women getting RAPED and babies getting SLAUGHTERED all over the world.
