Kelly Rowland Is "Proud" She Waited To Get Her Implants

YBF chick Kelly Rowland has been flaunting her envious bikini bod since the beginning of summer. Back in 2008, Kelly talked to People Magazine about enhancing her chest. Now she's explaining why she is glad she waited years to make alterations to her body. More deets after the jump.

She waited 10 years to enhance her A-cup to a B-cup and doesn't regret her decision one bit. In a recent interview with BBC Radio, Kelly explained:

"I'm very happy with myself. For me, my story behind it was making young people actually think before they do something. For me it was waiting. It's the message I actually had to say. When people found out about it, one person asked me and I just couldn't lie. I didn't feel the reason to lie. I'm proud of myself that I waited. That's 10 years I was like 'I hate this top. It does not fit. I hate this top."

Kelly admitted that she battled with her body image and insecurities dating back to her Destiny's Child days.

She also said:

“When I initially thought about that, I was 17 years old,” she said. “That’s a ridiculous age to make a decision to do something different to your body.”

Damn the entertainment industry. Kelly was beautiful before the boob job. Hopefully this isnt the start of several operations to come. She looks fabulous nonetheless.

Kelly did this for the right reasons - to make herself happy. She has been quoted as saying she got implants so that her clothes fit better. That's a good reason!

To Lovely and Lady J who talk about 'placing foreign objects in the body'. I am willing to bet that both of you have your ears pierced and possibly one or more tattoos. What's right for you might not be right for everybody so people have to make their decisions on their own. I personally don't think I could take having breast implants either but as a large C/small D cup I've never had to really consider it. To each their own and I like that she didn't go too big but even if she had it would have been her choice to make.

Kelly was beautiful before and after her boob and nose job. She's right about being mature and growing out of the natural insecurities that come with puberty before making a lot of changes just because you can. Still I greatly appreciate her honesty because she wouldn't have to talk about her surgeries and justify them if she had gotten them back in her DC days like that other DC member who had a nose job/boob job/liposuction and who knows what other work and is dishonest by omission in pretending she's a 'natural beauty'.

I usually don' t agree with plastic surgery, however, she just had a little enhancement that fits her body. I agree with the other comments in that she didn't go overboard and she still looks great. side note: If I had the money, I would do go to a B cup too! Being skinny has its advantages but having A cup boobs is not the business lol

It wasn't drastic and fits her body well so good for Kelly and I commend her for waiting until she was older to actually do it. I wouldn't feel comfortable putting silicon in my body but to each his own.

Ha! Well, in my opinion I don't consider her to be fake or not a role model for the fact she has fake boobs. She is a grown woman who made a decision, a personal choice and the fact is she doesn't give a damn what anyone else things because you absolutely mean nothing...NOTHING. To each his own. Personally, I wouldn't put a foreign object in my body unless it was imperative for me to do it. Even if I had Oprah Winfrey money, I wouldn't do it but I'm not going to blast Kelly for her choices. She's entitled to do whatever makes her happy. We should all work on inner beauty. There's nothing worse than a pretty body and jacked up character traits.

She was betuiful and perfect before and now in my eyes she is fake. I hope other black celebrities don’t follow in her foot step. She is not a good role model anymore. I think that people need to understand that they do not need to impress people. She could have donated the money that she paid for the boob job to a hungry family in Africa or to a person with breast cancer who doesn’t have the money to fight cancer. celebs are not necessarily role models. they are to do their job, which is usually to entertain. even if kelly's job was to be a role model, everyone has different opinions what makes a good one. in MY opinion getting plastic surgery does not make a unfit to be a role model. kelly has her stuff together. where is the "ROLE MODEL- list of characteristics" chart? now, what would probably disqualify you (by a lot of people's standards) from being an upstanding citizen that younger generations can look at to emulate... dope head, alcoholic, terrorist, abuser, prostitute, video hoe (not video model, but hoe) and so on...

They look uneven in the pic. The left one is lower than the right. Why alter your body at all, just be happy with what God has blessed you with. If it's not a life saving alteration I don't think foreign objects should be placed in your body. This just goes to show, that no matter how much money you have or how beautiful you may be on the outside your insides are all screwed up. If Kelly was happy with her body she would not have received implants. I'm disgusted because obviously her mental ability is shaded by her own insecurities about her body. Just Saying!

*Smdh* Uneven is a natural look, *checking in the mirror*, YEP. So too our feet, they are never quite the same size? P.S I have a "foreign object" in my body, it allows me to walk. However I get your drift, Tryna play devil's advocate *Grins*. Having a procedure once it's not over the top (point could be argued) does not always imply that you have self esteem issues. Though I myself don't wish for bigger boobs (I'm a B), I would love to have laser treatment to remove scars left from chicken pox. It hasn't messed with my mind, but like most ladies, I would sometimes like to wear a short dress, or swimsuit in public. #FoodForThought. Miracles to everyone!!!!!!!

Kelly is a gorgeous woman, and while I'm not a fan of cosmetic surgery, I can see that the procedure did make her more propotionate. She doesn't look like some porno blow up doll she looks like a woman. And Miss Kelly, take it from a D-cupper, you're going to LOVE plunging necklines ;).

I thought Kelly looked

I thought Kelly looked gorgeous before the implants and was a little dissapointed she opted to get them. But I can understand. Im an A cup myself and I struggle with if in the future going up a size or two is something I would wanna do. But looking at beautiful celebs like Cassie and Zoe Saldana who have very small breasts and no butt lol kinda makes me think that Im fine the way I am and if someone doesnt like go kick rocks
