SAD NEWS: NBA Player Lorenzen Wright Found Dead

According to the former Cleveland Cavalier Lorenzen Wright's family members, Memphis police told the Wright family that the NBA player, who has been missing for over a week, has been found dead.

According to recent reports, Lorenzen Wright's body was found in in a wooded area at Hacks Cross and Winchester in southeast Memphis. Wright had been missing since July 19th after flying to Memphis to visit his six children and his friends.

According to reports, Wright, who most recently played for the Memphis Grizzlies, may have been carrying some amount of cash when he was last seen. A Collierville police report raised concerns that he may be a victim of foul play. According to Wright's sister, Wright was spotted in Memphis after he was expected to have left the city. He was suppose to be in route to Atlanta with a friend and his children after leaving his ex-wife's home in Memphis.

Curtis Wright, Lorenzen's uncle, has confirmed that the body found is that of 34-year-old Lorenzen Wright. According to CBS News affiliate WREG-TV in Memphis and his family, Wright had been having financial issues. Wright recently had two homes that were in foreclosure.

Wright's disappearance has been really hard on his six children, according to Wright's mother. His 13-year old daughter said she would speak with her father everyday. "The 13-year old is taking it worse than anybody. He always calls her and he always answers her calls and she doesn't understand why he's not calling, why he isn't answering her calls," says Wright's mother, Deborah Marion.

LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony both sent out their condolences via Twitter:

The family issued a statement through a cousin of Lorenzen Wright, Camella Logan: "Lorenzen's family has come together to mourn his loss and honor his legacy."

It's really bad that people are making generalizations about a city that they do not know anything about. If you are getting your information from a show that is about crime, what do you expect. Memphis is no different than any metropolitan area. And yes Memphis is a metropolitan because there are 1 million persons in the area including the 2 states that surround it. The focus should be on finding the person/persons who murdered Lorenzen and not the city itself. Yes it is true that Memphis does have a crime problem, but what major city does not. Memphis isn't any worse than any other Metropolitan city. People are jealous and haters all over.
