New disturbing video of Maia Campbell has surfaced the net and it seems that she is back to her old ways. Read on to check out the video...

Earlier this year, Maia was spotted "looking healthy and upbeat" while shopping on Melrose Ave. There were no signs that she was high and her drug life looked to be a thing of the past.

However this weekend some new footage taken by one her so-called friends has been popping up all over the Internet. In the video, she talks about dropping an album and even tries to rap. Its seems that her once beautiful mane has broken off and she seems very frail and thin. We cannot confirm if this video is before or after her admission to rehab. But it is very sad. Maia is also known to have mental health issues.

I am praying this is some old footage. Either way keep her in your prayers.

It is sad to see such a beautiful sister and brilliant actress struggle in this way. I pray that God guides her and her family through these trying times. I also hope that the same God punishes those who deliberately set out to exploit Maia. Some of the commenters questioned how black folks could get pleasure from the suffering of other black people. The easy answer is that they don't care. The more difficult answer is that they are the products of internalized racism. They have been conditioned to hate themselves and thus taught to project that hate on people who look like them. They are the personifications of the Willie Lynch syndrone and continue to be racism's greatest allys. Fortunately for the rest of us they are in the minority. God bless you Maia.

I said to myself then that they were enjoying seeing her that way and wanted to show the world. i totally agree with you anonymous. i dont understand why its such great pleasure for black folks to see another black person out there and embarrasing themselves. its like they get joy from it. thats sad. and its usually our black woman who get pleasure and the black men should be ashamed as well because how does this makes our black woman look like in our community . a community that is already struggling to get a good name ! shame shame. and i am a black woman saying this so its even more dreadful to say!

I just watched this video and

I just watched this video and it is very sad, Maia is bipolar and possibly schizophrenic using drugs only makes the situation that much worse. The book 72 Hour Hold was based on Maia that her mother wrote and if you look very closely at the book cover it is Maia, when she was beautiful on the outside. if you look on the internet and go to LASD INMATE LOCATOR, you will find that she is currently in jail and scheduled for a court appearance tommorrow 8/4/10. So she is not on the streets. I have a older sister who is also bipolar and schizophrenic and was on crack for over 20 years it was extremely hard on my family watching that video she looked just like my sister it made me sad because I lived this and still live it everyday with my family my sister lived downtown los angeles on skid row for years and she was beautiful like Maia but it is a sickness an illness and with out meds they will relapse my sister has to constantly take medication to be clean and she struggles everyday with her past and what her future will bring. But Iam a firm believer that WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE, so I will pray for Maia like I do my sister and all people with mental illness. God bless !!!!

Please remember that she

Please remember that she suffers from bipolar disorder (her mother, the late BeBe Moore Campbell wrote an entire book about this). While that doesn't excuse her drug use, she is probably using because she feels that the drugs stabilize her moods....when you go through high high's and low low's, who wants to deal with the low low's???? Where is her family? She may need to be institutionalized at this point.

She is not under 18 y/o. Her family DOES care about her and makes every attempt to help her. They have the means (definitely not close to broke!), but you have to VOLUNTARILY want to get better. Please keep her in your prayers, and pray that she can see that she needs some change. You have to also remember that her mother is her home base. Its a little more difficult now that her mother is gone. I pray that no harm comes her way. I wish people would stop posting videos and exploiting her.

SMH..... this is crazy but unfortunately because she is /was in the lime light this is the treatment she receives. she can afford to go to rehab if she wants/needs help even go to celeb rehab where she will get paid.Unlike the average addict. who can't afford the best treatment and they have to prove that they really want help before one of these non profit bullshit organisation will accept them or the state have some bullshit rehab that only takes a certain # a year,so as far as im concern it's sad to see a pretty young lady allow drugs to control her and I like her as an actress but the reality of is she has the funds to get help I'm sure her mom left a nice lump sum for her. she need to use it in the right way. she shouldn't receive no different treatment then BOBBY BROWN WHITNEY HOUSTON AMY WINEHOUSE CHAKA K, NATALIE COLE ECT..... welcome to the REAL world and believe me it's not FAIR she has to deal with her demons like everyone else and unfortunately some people thinks it's funny but you got deal with it.

It's really sad to see her

It's really sad to see her like this. Although I've never met her, it hurts my heart and I just wish that people would help her I instead of trying to exploit her. I realize our own people, black people are the worst!!!! Instead of wanting to help they choose to exploit, instead of congratulating they want to talk ill of all your blessings when you're at the top and hope you fall since they are not ambitious to do better. In my opinion, posting this makes you no better than the people who recorded it. It's already known that she is ill, no need to keep pushing that image on us. Indeed prayers are needed, but if we stop encouraging the people who film her by posting their footage then there won't be a need for them to do it. Just a thought.

They should be ashamed of themselves for trying to exploit this girl, she has a mental condition that requires medication for her to live a normal life. Unfortunately this is true for a lot of ppl who are one street drugs/narcotics; they are actually using them to try and feel normal and it does not work. You are absolutely right. This video is old. It's the same background as the other one that was floating around last year sometime. She has a lot of ongoing issues that have not yet been resolved. Unfortunately she hasn't been able to get the help she needs and her mother (God rest her soul) is no longer here to aid in guiding her. Hopefully all goes well with her court date today.
