President Obama's camp is already beginning to plan for the 2012 election. Find out why they think Jay-Z would be a great asset to his campaign, plus MTV's complete list of the hottest MC's when you read on...

President Obama's campaign team wants to get the youth and minority vote. And they may have found a solution - get help from Jay-Z. The White House Press Secretary said, "In all seriousness, keep in mind he was pretty active during the 2008 election, so I don't think it'd surprise anyone that he would be involved again."

The president's team also feels that Jay-Z is a responsible celebrity who also has the same message as President Obama. Forbes asked the Jay-Z what he wants to people to think 50 years from now when people say his name and spoke, "I hope to inspire . . . I guess Obama took this thing already, but just the hope of how far we can make it and the hope in knowing how far you can go from where you started if you really apply yourself and stay true to who you are."

MTV recently compiled a list of the hottest MC's of 2010. The list has sparked much controversy over some of the spots. Each artist was ranked by their combination of rhyme skill, flow, buzz, commercial success, web presence, and cultural influence. Here's the complete list:

Most Blacks wanted Obama to win, which he did, and want him to get reelected, which he can. But, why vote for someone when you don't mirror the progressive nature? I'm not saying that this is all Black people, don't twist my words. But when I still see sooooo many young people not doing anything constructive with their life, they shouldn't even be allowed to mention anything in relationship to Obama if they have no determination not to be a loser. And I get it, so kids really don't have a chance from jump, but there are soooooo many that do have opportunities that waste it. I know our issues are not going to be solved overnight, but if we can jump on Obama's wagon overnight, then our issues can start to be addressed with the same urgency and effort we used to help get him elected.

Okay, HEAR ME AND HEAR ME GOOD! I like Eminem just as much as the next person. Lyrically, he's great. But everyone keeps forgetting that you have to BUY an Eminem CD to discover that he's a great rapper & lyricist. All his singles are poppish, catchy garbage until recently, when he debuted his singles from The Recovery. Hands down, Jay-Z & Kanye West should fight from the first spot. B.O.B should NOT be on the list either... this is sad. MTV, once a beacon of music, now has the credibility of writings on a bathroom wall. Though I agree that Eminem has earned one of the top 3 spots of THIS YEAR, he should not be at the top of anyone's list for the decade OR of all time. So many rappers have been WAY more consistent than that...
