Nine months ago, President Obama pledged to stop smoking. The White House Press Secretary says that he hasn't witnessed the president smoking in nine months. President Obama said in March that he would quit smoking after a doctor advised that he should stop the habit.

Great for him.

The whole time we've had

The whole time we've had white presidents the end of the year was called Lame Duck, until Obama came and changed all that. Sometimes when you've been in power for so long you become complacent. You know it annoys me to no

You know it annoys me to no end. However, in most people's defense, it's not their fault. There's a problem with the server on this site. Whenever I post a comment via mobile this is what happens; I hit the 'post comment' link and it takes me to the full version site at the 'reply to comment' screen. I never retype my comment, instead I'll reload the mobile YBF site and there my comment has been posted 2x's. ??????? If you look at the time on the multiple comments, you'll also notice the times are the same for each duplicate comment. Natasha, please fix the problem with you server mobile site and the full site as well. It would be great. Thanks.

I never comment on blogs but I just had to comment on this post. It is so amazing how people are so quick to criticize President Obama. When President Obama took office this country was on the verge of crumbling thanks to Bush! This man created 3 times the debt than any other president in history. He lied to the American people and created a war that has killed so many innocent troops. Our tax dollars paid for a war that was suppose to confiscate weapons of mass destruction. By the way have those weapons been found yet? President Obama came into office with an economy that was about to collapse, an unnecessary war, and the worst budget ever! If Bush was in office our economy would have collapsed by now. President Obama promised change and that is what he is trying to give America. The disappointing thing is America said they were ready for change when they elected him into office, but most are not ready for change. Everyone need to keep in mind President Obama is human he is not Jesus, a musician, or a merical worker! He has done a great job in just two years.

You're not a democrat, you're a misguided, misinformed, idiot! First, he didn't create the current deficient. The US has been in debt for DECADES!!!! Second, the war in Iraq, which costs billions a month to fund, has contributed tremendously to this deficient;which he was a SENATOR when it began. Third, the tax cuts instituted in the Bush Administration plays a huge part in the deficient. The monies collected through taxes is how the US is sustained. So, if taxes are spared or cut for those in the top 1 % of the country, how are the social welfare programs, public entities, and WAR are going to be funded?!?! Hmmmmmm...Fourth, the Healthcare bill has been passed...but not implemented. You have a lot of proposed litigation from states such as MS, AL, etc. who want to boycott the healthcare bill. It is more of a strain to treat uninsured patients, versus having a proposed system that is attainable for all. Also, the bill has limitations, and has YET to have an affect on the trillions of dollars you are soo concerned and well versed on! So, next time before you go on a tirade about the incompetency of the president or any other public figure, or any imaginary assumption you've developed as to how the budget has reached trillion..go to www.congress.gov to read the current notes of Congress,or the nuances of the bill! I know I am asking a bit much for someone of maybe a 12th grade education, but it may be helpful to take a civics class, watch CNN, read the NYTimes or Washington Post, and maybe you will have the ability to articulate a figment of the truth regarding current affairs. (Furthermore, President Obama has a bachelors in Political Science, a J.D. (law degree for you peons) and taught Constitutional law at University of Chicago..which is in the top five of tier one law schools) SMH..silly rabbits..tricks are for kids.

Well said! This country was on the verge of financial collapse when Obama took office. Does anyone remember that Ford, Chrysler & GM were about to go under? How 'bout the fact that when Obama took office our financial system was getting ready to self destruct, along with the beginning of a recession, unemployment, a housing market that was imploding thanks to shady bank re-fi's earlier this decade & an ongoing war. All this was handed to our president when he took office. I think its hard to implement your own change when you spend the first to years of your presidency just trying to save the country! Continue to focus on what he hasnt done. I will focus on the job he has done thus far. I believe he will be given a second term and will eventually get this country back on track (and as usual special interest groups who really run this country, will buy the white house back and the change that Americans supposedly want will go right out the window)

Couple things to point out though. Yes, the US has been in debt for decades, however the debt is the highest its ever been and most of that has been garnered by the obama administration. Yes, the war in Iraq costs billions but since Obama has been in office we have entered a new war in Afghanistan, so now we're in two expensive wars. Yes, Bush implemented tax cuts but thats they were for all income levels, not just the richest 1% of the population cus thats what republicans believe in- tax cuts for everyone regardless of income levels. Although that might not be the most fiscally responsible, its the morally responsible thing to do.

No, you have a couple of things wrong. The war in Afganistan was going on before President Obama came to office. He did not start a new war. Remember 9/11? We went to Afganistan to pursue the Al Quaida, Taliban, and Bin Laden. Unfortunately, President Bush got sidetracked in Iraq and Bin Laden got away. Obama has shifted the resources from Iraq to Afganistan as he shuts Iraq down. As for the tax cuts, Bush's tax cuts were for the richest 2% of the tax payers which added 700 billion to the deficit. That is an average of $350,000 for each rich person in this country! Morals and Republicans shouldn't be used in the same sentence. A Republican Senator is holding up 1 million dollars in aid to starving Haitians because he doesn't like the fact that Obama created a team of watchdogs to make sure the aid doesn't get wasted! How about those morals?

the war in Afghanistan isn't new. we were there during the Bush administration. And how can we expect to pay for roads, schools, government wages, ect if we keep cutting taxes?
