To be brutally honest she is average! I strongly doubt she would have got the contract if her last name wasn't Murphy. She has her mother's skin complexion and her father's face. To me she looks like a light skinned eddie murphy with a perm. True model, I think not!!!! as much as im not a fan of chanel iman, i give her props were its due. she conquered the modelling world using her own credentials and not that of her parents or anyone else.

People have their own ideas

People have their own ideas of Beauty. You may think being dark-skinned is beautiful and someone may not agree. This has nothing to do with slavery it has to do with how people see beauty. And no matter what you may think these views are not going to change any time soon. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and people have opinions. Again, African Americans are not monolithic.
