Eric Benet Gets ENGAGED To Prince's Ex, Drops New Video!

Halle Berry's ex-hubby and r&b singer, Eric Benet, is about to jump the broom again....with Prince's ex-wife, Manuela Testolini. The two have been dating for 3 years, and Eric decided to pop the question over the Holidays.

Looks like November was a big month for more than just Monica and Shannon Brown. 44-year-old Eric Benet popped the question to his fab girlfriend.

"During a romantic dinner, I decided to finally let Manuela hear 'Never Want to Live Without You," a song off my new album that I had written for her," Benet tells UsMagazine.com. "I sang it to her, then got down on one knee and proposed."

Sweet. They've reportedly set a summer wedding.

I don't know what went on in their relationship, but I think there was a lot more than was reported in the media. Do I think he may have messed up? Yeah, because HE said he did (he admitted to an addiction, but never to actually cheating on her)...but I think that Halle also played a part in the downfall of their relationship (particularly considering what seem to be ongoing reports about her unrealistic behavior). They're flawed people, just like everyone else. My point was -- and is -- that he is putting his private life on display again, and is showing the same gestures that he did years ago. Things might go better if he takes a more low-key approach this time. It seems like in Hollywood, the most successful couples are those who keep their private lives private, particularly with him being in the midst of a career comeback.
