TV FAB: Chris Brown Gears Up For "SNL"

I may be in the minority here, but I, for one, am happy about this news. Chris Brown is set to make an appearance on the next episode of "SNL" for the very first time.

What the cast thinks about this when you read on...

Reportedly, "SNL" has had open arms for Chris since the early 2009 Chrihannagate incident. But, of course, he shifted away from almost all public appearances for the rest of the year. And also didn't make big appearances outside of tour dates and party walk-thrus last year either.

But it looks like Chris is taking another big step in getting back in the public's good graces. He's been tapped for next week's episode of "SNL."

“It’s not up to me, but I’m sure we would [book him] if he had another hit single. We don’t care about scandal. We just care about what brings us ratings!” said cast member Kenan Thompson last year.

Chris will be the musical guest with host Russell Brand. His music has been heating up the charts lately and his album F.A.M.E. drops March 22nd. And he will likely be in a skit or 2 seeing that they have tons of material to choose from. The jokes will def write themselves. I'm happy Chris is still paying his dues, maturing, and changing right in front our eyes . Congrats to him.

I'm definitely not saying that what CB did was right. It wasn't. Regardless of what people believe, there were only 2 people there to know what really went on. I've never been in an abusive relationship, so I won't pretend to know what Rhianna went through. EVERYONE makes mistakes. And I know when I was 19 I sure made a lot of them. Yes, he was/is a man, but most people don't consider a 19 year old a grown ass man. It's time to move on from this nonsense. I mean really. I was physical abused in my past, and everything you are saying is true. I took my abuser back numerous of times until I had the strength to finally leave for good. I was young just like Rhi and Chris when it happened to me you go through so many emotions at that young age. I have since forgiven my abuser we are much older now, we have moved on, we are in a different place now in life , he paid his dues for abusing me and he is a total different person to this day. I have forgiven him he has forgiven hisself. I had always wished the best for Chris and Rhi in this whole situation.

He doesn't need noone forgiviness on this web site. He needs God and Rihanna to forgive him. God is a forgiving God. So he already forgave Chris. Chris did nothing to you people. I know abuse first hand and a whole lot of men doesn't change or attempt to change and I am talking about celebrities and regular folks. This man has worked so hard to better himself and I am proud of him. I know my girlfriend baby father is still abusive prick and never is going to change, but at least Chris is trying. For all these people keep saying I haven't forgave him, go seek the lord. The first step in healing if you were an abusive victim is forgiving the person who did harm to you, that is the only way you can move on with a healthy new relationship. God is on Chris side and wish everyone will find the Lord and peace in their lives.

I hear what you're saying and yes people should forgive and allow for second chances but Chris was not some child who made some mistake. I think people in their desire to want to move forward gloss over what Chris Brown really did. What Chris did was not some childish act. I recently saw a report on TV of some kids bullying another kid in such a vicious way that is was criminal. This was well beyond what you see children doing. This particular incident was fortunately captured on video and these kids were taken out of the school they attend in handcuffs, placed in juvenile jail and are being charged for their crimes. This example is very similar to what Chris did. But what Chris did was a felony and he was an adult . And what Chris did was deliberate and savage. And if we are to move on or forgive him, which is a very christian thing to do, we also have to acknowledge what he did in it's full aspect.

Last time I checked Trey Songz & Drake sold more albums than CB did. Trey Songz was the one that went on tour with Usher not CB. Drake is still on tour across the world promoting an album that came out in June. Justin Bieber is selling out MSG and Staples Center on his own off of two albums and has his own movie coming out. CB has been in the game longer than all of those dudes and they have ALL had more success then him. That shit is SAD!!

Did Chris's last album go platinum?? NO. It doesn't matter if Trey went platinum, i said he sold more than CB, which is true. The only thing you proved to me was that when one thing fails, go to the next thing that will guarantee you some money. That's what CB did. Drake started as an actor and made his brand even bigger with his music career. I find it funny that you said nothing about Justin Beiber. He's only 16 and about to have a #1 movie. Chris is on his fourth album and still hasn't headlined his own world tour.
