After his big night at the 42nd NAACP Image Awards, Tyler Perry hosted the First Annual Rise Above Celebration at Boulevard3 in Hollywood. Come inside to see pics of Tyler celebrating with LL Cool J, Mary J. Blige and others...

Even after all your negativity, Tyler is still a very vital part of the black community. We have very few black writer's & producer's that have the platform to give our black actor's/actresses an opportunity to show their talent on the big screen. We as a people should be thankful that we do have a "Tyler Perry" & hope that many more surface. The fact that he is taking the time to show appreciation to those who have made his films the success that they were is an awesome & very noble thing. Most actor's never receive that acknowledgement from the writer's of a movie or stage play, only through an awards ceremony. Let's support Tyler with kind words of his achievements instead of such negativity.
