ARRESTED: Rick Ross Spitting Bars Behind Bars For Marijuana Possession + Philly Eagles Baller Jason Peters Booked For Disturbing The Peace

Rick Ross aka "Officer Ricky" got caught with a stash last night and was arrested in Shreveport, LA for possession. Get the deets on the arrest inside and find out how NFL baller Jason Peters caught a case and ended up at the same jail as Rick last night.

Inmates at the Shreveport City Jail in Shreveport, LA had a star-struck Friday evening as they chilled in their cells with hip hop superstar Rick Ross and Philadelphia Eagles baller Jason Peters.

KSLA News 12 reports that Rick Ross was arrested for marijuana possession after a strong odor was detected coming from his room at the Hilton Hotel in Downtown Shreveport. TMZ reports that officers found a gram in plain view.

And in a separate (but sorta) related arrest, Jason Peters caught a case for apparently being too crunk. He was arrested for disturbing the peace after officers asked him to turn down the music coming from his car and he refused. He then tried to stunt on the cops and wouldn't produce any ID. SMH. That must have been a huge speakerboxx.

Both Rick and Jason were booked at the Shreveport City Jail where they got summons and were later released.

It's funny they both got caught up on some bull-ish as they were both in town for the Bay Bay Birthday Bash at the Kokopellis nightclub. Rick was one of the performers while Jason was an invited guest.

P.S. I can't wait to hear all of the Officer Ricky jokes from 50 Cent.

I have NO problem with police

I have NO problem with police pulling these assholes over playing their music too loud. Not everyone wants to hear your damn music, especially if you are in a residential neighborhood. Turn that shyt down. It doesn't need to be that loud for the individual to hear it anyway. You can hear some music bumping from a block away. They only do it for attention. Shut their azzes down. Many black people today lack mutual respect and common courtesy for others. Sure, Rick Ross wants to smoke, but does the family staying in the next hotel room want to smell it? Sure, Jason Peters enjoys listening to his music loud, but do the people who live in the homes he's passing have to listen to it - possibly all day from other rude individuals? What about the family with kids in the next car who can hear the curse words in the songs? Our predecessors fought hard for us to have equal rights, had water sprayed in their faces, were beaten, lynched and other atrocities, but today's ignorant population has taken those freedoms to the extreme with behavior that is illegal, or at the very least, rude, uncivil behavior. Today's "don't give a f@ck" attitude must be making our ancestors turn in their graves. Make it your personal mission to break sterotypes, do not prove them true.

I hate to inform you, but all the characteristics you mentioned have nothing to do with race. People are rude and insiderate of others. I live in a predominately white town, and trust, when I hear loud hip hop coming from a car/truck, it's usually some white guy. People bump into others and don't even say excuse me. People have lost their manners - no please or thank you anymore. That has nothing to do with color/race. Our whole country has gone to hell in a hand basket and no one gives a damn.

the Supreme Court has held

the Supreme Court has held that you only have to show your ID to officers where there is reasonable suspicion or PC. Now the hard part comes when determining whether the police have reasonable suspicion ( i.e. if your are detained. The police can only detain you for reasonable suspicion or pc) So In Louisiana, while I have never seen the statutory language, I am sure that there is a specification for that. However, like I said it is hard to determine whether the police have reasonable suspicion, especially in racist ass places where they will say and do whatever. The LAW and ppl's actions are often 2 diff things.

No you don't have to show the police your ID UNLESS they have reasonable suspicion or probable cause that a crime is being committed ( this is where case law takes us), or if you are driving and stopped (license). So in this situation since he was driving, and a "crime" had already occurred, then yes you have a "stop and identify" rule. BUT if you are a lawful citizen not in the commission of any crime, you DO NOT have to show the police your ID unless you are being detained, and the police can only detain you with reasonable suspicion or PC

Actually you are incorrect, you DO have to produce some form of identification. Hhis is really a misconception that I see a lot. There is a lot of case law regarding this topic and if you refuse to show the police your Id in an instance such as this (in your car, after being asked to turn your music down and refusing)nit can be considered in totality of the circumstances to be cause for arrest. Don't get me wrong, I think it's ridiculous we are wasting time and money arresting someone for having music on "too loud" in their car (give him a fine or ticket or something if you insist on punishing him) but he actually does have to provide police with basic information such as name. If he doesn't want to-fine-he will be taken in for questioning or arrested, like here. Just the facts.

Somebody should have warned these guys that Shreveport is not the city to be black in and not to tangle with the PoPo. You can get arrest for walking while black (WWB) let’s not even think about driving while black (DWB). Those rednecks do not care for anyone that is black and might have a little change in their pockets. When have you ever heard of the hotel staff calling the cop to the hotel for a strong smell coming from a room unless somebody was dead or tearing up the room. You knock on the door tell the guest to put a large towel under the door, get your big tip and keep it moving. Now he wants to get the little rep he has tarnished by being with that low life BayBay who just beat a rape case. Don’t let the bright lights, the casinos and the black sorry ass mayor fool you, the treatment of blacks by police in that city is poor. You are not lying. Shreveport is where i am from and they dont like blacks with a passion. Even the playing your music too loud thing. That is the craziest thing i ever heard until my cousin told me that they are fining people driving with their music up tooo loud as they put it. I love my birth city and state, just not too proud of them with all this non sense. They pulled me and a cpuple of my friends over one nite just because it was a white boy driving and the other 3 people in the car were blacks. They took the driver out and put him in the cop car and questioned him as to why he was driving and we were not.
