Ok, let me start by saying that I am a Hip Hop music fan from the heart. I was listening to this track and making my bed at the same time. I had to STOP spreading my blanket so that I could dance!!! That's how real this track is. Brat is spitting thoroughly in this track. I havent wanted to rewind ANYTHING in some time, and best believe, when I finish posting this comment I'm going to revisit her verse. NOW FOR THE BAD NEWS, JD was so offensive to my ears that I had to FORCE MYSELF TO KEEP LISTENING TO THE SONG. And it wasn't his flow either. It was the content. That junk (and that's what it is) is misogynistic and I hate it that dudes think they can spit that stuff with autonomy. Nah, women love Hip Hop too, and we're tired of being called 'bitches' on wax. I'm not a bitch but I take offense to you calling my sister a bitch. And talking about 'she suck it all night.' That aint cool man, and people need to get called out on it. The music is not evolving and that's what has made me stop listening to it by inlarge. I dont want profane lyrics in my head like that. When I was younger, I overlooked more, but I'm a woman now and I see how our girls call themselves bitches on a reg. The culture can't claim innocence on it. Nigga and bitches is all you hear, and man, after twenty plus years of listening we gotta do better. Hip hop is not something you can share with your family the way you can pass down say, a Motown legacy---- and school the youngsters on what real music is. You don't want them to embrace so many of the stereotypes WE NOW EMBODY AND EMBRACE. I'm sorry for this speal but it needed to be said. This song brought out the best of what hip hop can be (Brat's verse) and the worst(Jermaine's verse). Tell him to spit that mess to his Mama and Grandmama. Hip hop isn't MORE REAL because of all the talk of bitches, niggaz, crack sales, robbing, killing and all that. It's real because of the creative force that it is in it's purest sense. Fans and artists alike have lost sight of that.
