OH SNAP! Wife Bailed Out After Stabbing Miami Dolphins Receiver Brandon Marshall

Authorities are reporting that the wife of Brandon Marshall stabbed the Miami Dolphins wide receiver with a kitchen knife Friday night. Michi Nogami-Marshall has since been charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. Read on to find out more deets about her arrest...

27-year-old Miami Dolphins wide receiver, Brandon Marshall, was hospitalized in Fort Lauderdale, Florida after being stabbed several times in the stomach by his wife in their $4 million home. But less than 24 hours later, the NFL player decided to leave, risking a chance of infection.

Meanwhile, Michi Nogami-Marshall says she stabbed Brandon in self defense after he attacked her. She was released on a $7,500 bond.

Brandon, who has a history of domestic abuse dating back to 2006, was arrested for fighting with Michi in 2009. According to the NY Post, while engaged in March 2009, both were charged with disorderly conduct after cops saw them fighting outside Marshall's Atlanta home. The charges were eventually dropped.

Brandon's released a statement saying:

This is a very difficult time for Brandon and his family, thankfully he will make a full recovery.We simply ask that his privacy is respected"

This is a very sad case. Domestic violence is a very serious issue but the answer to it is not MORE violence. Michi Nogami-Marshall has many options available to her like calling the police or contacting a lawyer or just leaving the relationship. Taking a knife and using it is simply unacceptable. I would not wish that level of violence on anyone. This couple needs serious help. And she should be prosecuted to the FULL EXTENT of the law.

I generally don't agree with you but I think your right here. It's true a whole lot of Black women who hate themselves which is evidenced by the horrendous weaves, wigs and contacts some of them would rather wear than be seen "natural". It's sad but it's a result of hundreds of years of conditioning and being put down by the "powers that be". Where I have to disagree with you is when you limit this to Black women only. Some Black latin women have serious issues with color and will deny having any African ancestry even when they are dark skin with coarse hair. Indian society also values lighter skin and the lower class is almost exclusively dark skinned Indians. Many asian women also get eyelid and nose surgery, etc. The real issue is the monolitic standard of beauty Europeans imposed on soooo many societies when they colonized them; as well as the same narrow standard of beauty being promoted now. With that being said Black women do need to get over that skin color, hair grade, nose shit and put more energy into positive things in their lives.
