Early this morning "DWTS" contestant and Pittsburgh Steelers star receiver Hines Ward was involved in a situation that resulted in him being removed from the passenger's seat of a friend's car and handcuffed at gunpoint.  Deets inside...

Although he was not arrested, NFL baller Hines Ward found himself on the receiving end of a LAPD gun this morning.  So how does a seemingly nice footballer with a great two-step end up pulled over by the LAPD?

TMZ reports that Hines was riding with a friend in a Honda Civic when police pulled them over at 2am.  They were stopped because the car they were in had been reported stolen earlier that night. 

Police pulled the car over, drew their weapons, and ordered Hines and his friend out of the car and placed them in handcuffs. 

THEN, police got the full story.  It turns out, the driver had reported the car stolen after an incident with a valet parking attendant earlier, but forgot to tell the cops she got her car back.  WOMP.

So after police realized that the driver was the owner, she and Hines were released.  The police say Hines was very understanding. 

SMH....I still have issues with them being ordered out of the car with LAPD guns drawn on them.  With Hines being a Black man and them being the LAPD.....anything could have happened.
