Will Smith's Movable Mansion Angers SoHo Residents In NYC + Will He And Jada Be Oprah's Last Guests?

As Will Smith films MIB III (Men In Black 3) he has residents of NYC's SoHo neighborhood upset about his double-decker movie trailer taking up space and resources. See the pics inside and also, find out if Will and Jada will appear on Oprah before she leaves the show...

Can being fabulous sometimes go too far? Residents in SoHo seem to think so as the world's biggest movie star has moved onto their streets in a super-large deluxe double decker trailer while he films his latest movie.

Will's trailer is nicknamed "The Heat," and

"...includes a lounge, a movie room with a 100-inch screen, marble floors throughout, offices for his assistants and writing staff, a large bedroom and all-granite bathroom. It measures about 53 feet long, has 22 wheels and weighs in at around 30 tons."

The trailer, which is 1,150 square feet, is the size of an average two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartments in NYC and costs $9,000 a week.

"Its ridiculous! I've lived here 26 years, and I've never seen anything this size," 62-year-old Myrna Reisman told the NY Post. She lives next to where the trailer was parked yesterday at Broome and Greene streets.

"This thing is like a duplex. How would Will Smith feel if I parked that thing out in front of his house? People forget this is a residential neighborhood, not a film lot -- that thing is taking up half our gasoline reserve."

Neighborhood residents say that the trailer unsightly, and it creates bad smelling fumes while eating at the bottom line of local businesses.

When asked about the trailer, a rep for Sony Pictures Entertainment, said,

"We know we are guests in the neighborhoods where we film, and are always respectful of the area residents and businesses."

SMH....is Will just being fabulous or a bit selfish?

The Daily reports that Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith may be the big guests on Oprah's grand finale show. No word from HARPO yet but I can't wait to watch.

Um, clearly those of you who are making comments about "smelly SoHo" don't know a damn thing about New York. Here's a little education: SoHo is one of the main luxury shopping areas for REAL New Yorkers (no, we don't shop on Fifth Avenue...only you tourist do). SoHo houses boutiques like Chanel, Louis Vuitton, D&G, J Lindberg, Bloomingdale's, Prada, and even the new Trump SoHo Hotel...the list goes on and on. It's a VERY expensive neighborhood and the reason Big Will had to move his trailer is because all these rich white people who live in SoHo apartments that run UPWARDS of $1 million weren't having it. Period. Get your facts straight, people!

Lets be real here... Nobody says a word when that reality show that does home makeovers comes to town... They show up not only with the trailers for the show. But they show up with countless amounts of tractor trailers from the sponsors donating their supplies, the contractors trucks, and the caterers..... Cut out the nonsense... everybody in the city limits benifits... Not to mention that people in the city tend to complain about everything that has an 800 number or company logo attatched to it.. But nobody complains about their own residents daily/nightly loud music, obnoxious behavior, double parking, etc... When movies productions come to town, all of this equipment is part of it.... These folks are complaining about his RV trailer that happens to be 53 ft long, but not the other 53 ft long production trailers lining every block in the neighborhood.... We've become a nation of haters....

In actuality you would have to take any issues or gripes up with your City Hall because they give out the permits that allow for these productions to come into your community and become a interuption and doubt if you make any head way since they are getting big bucks for the movie industry to come into the city and film......

Maybe if you're shooting in some remote location far from where you're staying but it makes no SENSE to have a TRAILER of that SIZE in the CITY. If you're shooting a movie in the MIDDLE OF THE CITY, and say you have to use the bathroom and you're a big movie star, would it not make sense to be able to go to your own trailer? Movie scenes shoot for HOURS at a time, would it make sense for Will to walk to his apartment x amount of blocks away? Where would you suggest he and cast and crew members sit in between takes?? On the side of the street? Or should they all walk however far to Will's apartment?? The people complaining need to STFU. The movie will wrap soon, so they need to deal with it in the meantime. I was annoyed when the circus used my campus and every night I'd have to listen to annoying ass circus music, but what could I do?? Nothing! But wait until they left. You think the University cared that I complained or that the circus was a little quieter?? NO! At the end of the day, that movie brings much more money to the city than some whining brats. @ Sarcastic Chick Will Smith can have a trailer and there are many types that can suit his purposes well. FYI: He has rented a place down the block so there is totally no reason to have a TRAILER of that SIZE. Will Smith does NOT need to have a trailer as LARGE as the one he has. I have never seen a Trailer that was that BIG before and there are shoots all over the city. And he has one trailer that is just for his GYM. The reason people are annoyed is because of the sheer Size of this trailer and the noise that they make as well as the GAS they guzzle. Will Smith is a guest in the city and he needs to respect the people who LIVE there. He can have a trailer but one that is a lot smaller than that and he has TWO of them. I live in new york and hundreds of movies are filmed here-- in every neighborhood- every year. No one ever complains about it until... it's a black lead "moving in"? SUPER convenient. It's not a big deal SOHO residents... take your privileged, whiny selves and sit down. Btw, you live on Greene and Broome-- there are no "views" to be interrupted and I'm sure the smells you speak of hardly compare to the stench that is our city. Stop playing the RACE CARD. There are usually many complaints when something becomes a problem. Are you BLIND? That Trailer is HUGE. And he is renting a place not far from the location there is no need for a TRAILER of that SIZE making all that noise and being such a HUGE EYE SORE. Black people can find excuses for Will Smith's disruption to my neighborhood, but can't find positivity in accomplishments? Says a lot about the community. Because we live in SOHO & can afford to, we're expected to deal with the disruption. I also read comments, people in SOHO have plenty of money they should be whining about others downfall. I am sorry, I don't owe my success to anyone. My success was built for peace in my life. I am successful because I didn't want to live in the Bronx where I am awakened with sirens, gun shots, drunk screams...This is not Universal Studios, this is a residential neighborhood.

True your neighborhood may be residental but when you live in NYC particularly Manhattan you give up your rights to certain things like a backyard & certain aspects of privacy. People have the right to complain but I think something like this is to be expected in SOHO. Now if we were talking Hollis Queens I would sympathize. I can't sympathize with you in SOHO but I don't think you need my sympathy.
