Hi guys, why do we get so personal when it comes to musicians/singers ? I find that these days its not about the music anymore. Everyone wants to behave as if the artists offended them in a personal way. Its not the musician's or singers fault that they have a following either big or small. Everyone has their own thing and contribute in their own way. Rihanna is not the first or last singer that people will rave about. Its her time just like all the others that had their time. I'm sure that some of the singers that some of you are comparing her to are some of her idols and you people fail to remember that greats like Bob Marley, Michael Jackson etc etc inspired singers like Rihanna, Justin Timberlake, Usher, Beyonce etc etc to do their thing and its up to the individual singer to continue to contribute what they can and keep music alive. People ...its all about the music and bringing a little joy to this sad world that soo needs a little more love and happiness amidst all the crap that's happening.

my husband is bajan and we visited barbados last summer. the island does not have much there and it is small. the women were very mean and jealous but overall the people were nice and life was sweet and slow. the only fast food from america was KFC!!!!! i was so fucking hungry, lol and it was so freaking hot, no damn air conditioning except in some of the shops and businesses in the city and then the air was not cold enough just cool! ughh but i would live there

I love Barbados. It's so nice and peaceful and naturally beautiful. I've also been to Jamaica (Negril and Mo Bay), Bahamas (Nassau) and T&T. They were are cool for different reasons but I fell in love with Barbados and have been back several times. I will say that Negril was really really beautiful (probably the prettiest because they have the gorgeous beaches and the lush greenery in the hills) but the men are overly friendly and the women (that I encountered...again, that I encountered) were aggressive and unfriendly. A girl threw her hand up in my face as I was walking by, just because. Another girl hopped in front of me and my friend in line at a club simply because she could tell (I guess) that we were foreign. Her friends stood aside laughing and staring us down. I just smiled it off (I'm on vacation, who cares) and both incidents were so obvious, the girls wanted beef, but it's a shame you gotta watch chicks simply for being you. Also encountered these same types in the Bahamas. Had a girl bump me (hard as hell when there was plenty of room) and then just stare at me and walk on...I understand not liking tourists (I GUESS, we're just there to get some sun and spend some damn money) but it's not like I'm NOT in a tourist area, geeze. Never had anything like this happen in Barbados. The people there are lovely and chill, even though, no matter what island you visit, they all seem to have negative opinions of African Americans (had people in both Barbados and Bahamas tell me so). Either way, to be honest, I'd return to Jamaica too and just be prepared to fight in the midst of drinkin my rum punch *shrugs* but Barbados will always be my favorite vacation place.
