PHOTOSHOOT: Da Brat Renews Her Sexy Side For VIBE

It's the B-R-A-T. Da Brat tat tat tat is BACK with a new photoshoot with VIBE.com. And she's looking pretty darn cute.

37-year-old Da Brat has been home from her 3-year jail stint for a few months now. And she's already released some hot remixes, a mixtape, and now a photoshoot. Brat, government name Shawntae Harris, has tapped into her girly side (usually she rocks ruff & stuff with her afro puffs Lady of Rage style...and braids) once again.

And the Chicago rapper recently sat down with VIBE.com after releasing her Life After Death mixtape with her homie J.D. Check her fab "Summer Sexy" shots and highlights from the interview:

How did you feel about the Vibe.com photo shoot?

I absolutely loved it! The stylist Tamara Connor was amazing. Mara Z styled my hair with the help of her assistant Dina as well as my regular hairstylist, Shontelle Sampeur. Mara also did my makeup. Both hair and make-up were great. And I loved the photographer, Alex. I definitely want to do more photo shoots with him because I can tell he is passionate about his work.

Was it uncomfortable transitioning into a “sex symbol” or is this just another side of you that we never see?

I’m such a fucking lady. I loved to get glammed up. I love manis and pedis. I like to go to Vicky Secrets and La Perla because I like lace and bikinis. I’m such a P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thug)

What type of message do you want to portray to women about their bodies.

Be who you are!

What are you doing to stay in shape?

Work out. Working out is like a stress reliever.

What type of clothes do you wear to make you look sexy?

It depends on the look and how I’m feeling that day.

What is your favorite body part?

I don’t have just one. I love all parts of my body! But on a man, I love the Adonis line. It’s just so sexy!

What do you have to say about your new mixtape?

It’s DUMB STUPID CRAZY! It’s HOTTER THAN A MOTHER FUCKER! BRAT IS BACK!

Da Brat looks uncomfortable

Da Brat looks uncomfortable and inauthentic, point blank period! I think her (or maybe her wallet) has realized that the time of the butch/tom boy/I can go hard like a dude rapper has long passed; so she wants to revamp herself to gain a relevant audience and fan base again. But i don't see her attempts offering her any success. Real girlie girls know one another and we can not be fooled by a stylist's efforts to emasculate someone so obviously entrenched in an alternative lifestyle. It's best if she just ghost writes or retires to a regular job because dainty rapper she is NOT!

Da Brat Mix tape life after death speaks for its self, Im not a big fan but her voice is still hot plus her lyrics make this the hotest mix tape conposed by a female in this decade. The fact that she did this photo shoot is pointless and has nothing to do with her success as a tom boy rapper because lyricaly if you took the time to check out her new mix tape and you are a "fan" of rap you would know that Da Brat is back real talk and yeah still a Tom-boy. Uhhhmmm, do ya'll not remember her song "What Do You Like" featuring Tyrese?? She looked hot and girly in the video. If any of ya'll knew a damn thing about Da Brat's style, you'd know that she can switch it up from tomboy to sexy with no issues. People saying she looks uncomfortable in these outfits... Umm, she was in a damn bikini for half that video and in some damn ass-less chaps and a thong in the "That's what I'm Lookin For" video. Ya'll don't know shit. I love Da Brat. It trips me out how in this day and age, when somebody tries to make a comeback or release new music, everybody wants to start comparing and contrasting. You can't compare Nicki Minaj and Da Brat. You just cant! How is it that we used to have all the hottest women singers, rappers, and groups together on one song or making cameos in videos in the 90s without people being like Oh, Aaliyah is trying to be like Mary J. or 702 is trying to be like Total?? Music sucks now because not only have new artists become money grubbing gimmicks, but their core audience is usually composed of dimwitted easily bamboozled idiots.

Brat could have used a few more months away toning up in the gym.
