And so it begins. Laura Govan hosted a "Welcome to L.A." party attended by the cast of "Basketball Wives: L.A." last night. See the pics inside...

Last night, reality tv chick, and mother of Magic baller Gilbert Arenas' 4 kids, Laura Govan, hosted a "Welcome To Los Angeles" benefiting the East Oakland Youth Development at Code C in Los Angeles.

"BBW:LA" cast member Malaysia Pargo was there.

Tanya Williams, Jason Williams' ex-wife who he's trying to keep off the show, was also there. Guess those lawsuit threats didn't work.

Draya Michele came out to support her castmate Laura:

So is "Nathaniel Jr." her son...for this tattoo to be big as all hell on the back of her neck? The same 7-year-old son who she was arrested for child endangerment over after leaving him home alone overnight while she worked her job at the strip club? Hope so...

At the party, Laura Govan greeted the executive director of EOYDC Regina Jackson.

Castmate Jackie Christie also supported the event.

David Rowe provided nibbles.

Afterwards Regina and publicist Laura Wright posed with the "BBW: LA" cast (Draya, Jackie, Malaysia, Laura and Tonya). I can only imagine the type of drama set to pop off. And I wonder where the HBIC of this cast, Gloria Govan, was last night. Hmmm....

I appreciate the comments from all of you. How dare these ladies dain to provide an opportunity to raise funds and to shine a light on a fantastic nonprofit, EOYDC, that assists underserved and needy youth. I have no doubt that when you, in all of your benevolence, host a charity event for under priveleged youth, as I am sure you most certainly do, that you are always and absolutely at your finest. I can only envision you ladies, inevitably all a petite size 2 with every strand of hair meticulously in place and a closet full of the finest haute couture, up in arms about the lack of perfection displayed by these ladies. How dare they not live up to your idea of beauty. da-- them! I am waiting with baited breath for you to let us all know about your next fundraising event and how it should be done. Because you, yes you, are flawless. Seriously, I want to applaud these ladies for thinking of others. We can all strive to do better by our children and we can all begin today. Take the venom out of your mouth and the green (envy if you cant' figure it out) out of your eyes and try to help someone. Thank you EOYDC for the work you do in taking our children to the next level in so many positive and effective ways.

Regina Jackson is the

Regina Jackson is the Executive Director, not the founder, of East Oakland Youth Development Center. She is quite accomplished and a wonderful person. She puts a lot of heart and soul into the center and helping the kids that go there. At least the Govan's did this for a good cause.
