Houston rapper Slim Thug, who turns 31 in a couple weeks, decided to go get another big ass tattoo last night. And while we get rappers love to "put on for their city" and all....this ish just seems 10 years too late. And unnecessary.

I'm guessing sweet baby jesus started the FAD with dreadlocks, his hair was thick like wool and tangled...I have dreadlocks and did not grow my hair because it looked nice on someone else, my hairs grows out of my scalp a certain way and I happen to like the way it looks, especially when I twist it so it hangs long giving it style and definition. YES some tattoos are ridiculous but what makes a tattoo ridiculous is the person who thought it up and went through with bring that riduculous thought to life by permanantly etching it to the body. Tattoos have existed since the days of the hebrew, where a fad is short lived, your examples are traditions and long lived, hence the reason why they are still around and practiced. I think you were thinkin more of FADS like, skinny jeans or jordans...or even label whoring, those are FADS....Yes and you are right, tons of tattoos are redundant and may cause some to not enter the professional world but that does not take food off of your table, or does it?...

A FAD??????? That's been lasting since......Neolithic times A FAD??????? Even though some or culturally significant. Dumb tattoos of tweety bird and oil rigs and Guns are a FAD, not TATTOOS in general. That's not going to happen, only thing that determines if the tattoo is straight garbage is the person, ghetto people and tasteful people do things differently and ghetto people aren't a FAD they are HERE. Not every tattoo supporter is ridiculous, some are quite subtle and in hidden places that you only reveal on your free party time.
