It's For Real This Time?! BEYONCE IS PREGNANT!

That's definitely a baby bump on Beyonce Knowles!  We're still in such disbelief we're wondering if this is all part of a bigger act.  No act here--this is the real deal.  But Mrs. Knowles Carter hit the black carpet of tonight's MTV VMAs in this flowing long red dress.  And apparently, confirmed to MTV and the paparazzi that she's about to drop Baby Knowles Carter.

 

Deets inside...

MTV tweeted the first pic of 29-year-old Beyonce' tonight from their black carpet. She was holding her belly which is undeniably a large baby bump.  And, despite the fact Bey only posed for a few media outlets then rushed inside, she apparently announced to them SHE'S PREGNANT.  A member of the paparazzi also tweeted that Bey confirmed it to them as well.


 

Announcing her pregnancy at an Awards Show isn't what we expected. But she did say she would never get pregnant and use it for publicity--so going the nonchalant announcement way is fitting (and typical) for their relationship.  I guess we just didn't notice a bump during her 4 nights of "4" concerts a couple weeks ago when she was wearing a short and tight gold mini--made by Mama Tina.  That slit at the top of her tummy was some major eye trickery....

Well I'll be....  This is the first child for Beyonce & Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter. 

Bey is set to perform tonight.  We'll see what happens...

Sidenote: We asked ourselves the other day why that "1+1" video seemed like mainly face shots and only a couple blurred out lingerie full body shots.  She shot the vids just a few weeks ago.  Hmmm....

Congrats to the couple but I have to admit I was a little thrown off by the way that it was announced. Beyonce and Jay Z have always been extremely private with their relationship even during their marriage and for them to announce such a thing at a large public event I felt was somewhat strange and out of character for them.

It seems strange to me too. She is extremely private and most celebs don't announce pregnancies this early. They usually wait until the last trimester or until they simply can't hide it any longer (and with the right clothing, she can still hide it at this stage), especially when they are working. Hmmm is right!

Loving the casual announcement! Girl has a glow. I can now forgive her for almost ruining one of my fav songs from the album, 1+1, with that terribly oversexed video. She had to shoot a lot of them in a row and didn't have time for as much careful planning as she usually gives. Happy for her AND that she did it in her own sweet time, accomplishing a lot first, while many women seem to think a baby should be their first and last achievement. I hope all her young female fans look to her as a great example of not just hairstyles and fashion but the manner and order in which a woman can and should conduct her life.

I think it's sooooooo tacky to announce your pregnancy on TV. I think she did it for publicity because who does that? Beyonce knew that she wasn't going to be talked about because Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, Katy Perry and Nicki Minaj were the stars of the night so she wanted to do something that would top them. I'm happy that MTV didn't announce it and nobody talked about it during the show. Beyonce's b-day is coming up either this week or next week and she could have announce it then but she didn't.
