Holly Robinson REACHES OUT To Fans Of "The Talk" And SAYS She'll Continue Fighting For Autism Awareness

Fans of Holly Robinson Peete may be upset that she won't be returning to CBS' gabfest "The Talk" but they will be impressed by her handling of the situation. The gracious and sophisticated lady released a statement thanking fans and CBS and also added that she will continue fighting for families with specials needs. Read it inside....

Showing how to handle the "closing" of a door with grace and classy, Holly Robinson Peete released a statement about her departure from "The Talk" making it clear that is was not her decision. She then thanked CBS for the opportunity and fans for their support.

Here's her statement:

After weeks in limbo, I was finally "officially" given word from CBS today that I have not been picked up for the 2nd season of The TALK. I realize there have been several reports and "leaks" for sometime to this effect but until today I was not contractually released which prevented me from moving on and finding other work.

While I am relieved to have this closure, it doesn't diminish my disappointment one bit about not continuing with a show I worked very hard to launch and love dearly.

But I've been around long enough to know that while you cannot control certain situations you CAN control how you respond to them.

Thank you to CBS for a tremendous opportunity to realize a long held dream of mine to host a daytime talk show. I learned SO much and will cherish and build upon my experience. Best of all I made some friends for life...

I want to thank The TALK viewers and those who supported and rallied around me and expressed appreciation for the humor and heart I attempted to bring to the table... You lifted me!

But by far, what I will miss the most: the amazing platform to spread awareness about families affected by autism and special needs. Just know that I will never stop speaking for you, and sharing your stories...EVER.

Although this door has closed, I am full of excitement about the new doors that will open for me.

Gotta go grind!

We told you ealier that both Holly and Leah Remini were replaced by Sheryl Underwood and Kris Jenner, so it will be interesting to see how the show shapes up when it debuts on Sept. 6.

Melissa and Julie produces

Melissa and Julie produces the show...Leah would make Melissa seem like an idiot everyday..so they wanted to get rid of Leah without singling her out...they added Holly to the pot,so it wouldn't look bad...Holly was just used as a token to get rid of big mouth Leah. Simple! I watched the show everyday. They couldn't control Leah. She was a very big present there.

Anyway Leah was wonderful she was so real she needs her own show ....of course they could not handle Leah they were trying to be to straight laced well let me clear up who they are that I am referring to SARA and JULIE. Obviously they are trying to

Obviously they are trying to turn The Talk into The View! But I actually liked the show b/c it so wasn't The View. These replacements don't make sense if the show continues in the direction it was going, but they seem to want a brasher, louder, dumb down version of what they had last season to grab a larger audience. I definitely found Leah & Holly to be the more logically, and entertaining members of the panel, so I don't think I'll call to watch next season. I don't care to hear Cheryl's take on things, and Kris seeing how she behaves on her own show, I know she was only asked to join b/c of who her daughters are. Much luck to Leah & Holly, hopefully we see them back on television soon!

Holly looks old in the face in this picture. Her contract was not renewed which is a subtle firing. She was the show. THey will find this show will not last much longer. Underwood is a Black plant for the Republicans. Republicans in no way represent the ideology of the typical Black person who may be middle to lower class, may need to have an abortion, may need tax breaks, and may need jobs created. These are not things Republicans, who tend to be wealthy, care about at all. Please know what she claims and what she stands for. Boycott and do not watch and the show will go.

The people calling Sheryl Underwood ignorant are the ignorant ones. She is a Educated Comedian, don't get it twisted. If she wasn't she would not be NATIONAL president of a BGLO. Research the woman and look at her initiatives outside of the comedy realm before you start popping off. As much as I support Sheryl and respect her grind, I DO NOT agree with the replacements that are being made. At the end of the day: the View will still be standing and the Talk will be long gone. I know the shows are completely different but you must admit you can see the similarities. If it aint broke don't fix it, the show was doing extremely well so why would you make changes so early? At the end of the day Julie Chen is the Barbara Walters of the talk. everyone else is expendable. It's sad but true.

As a faithful viewer of this show daily before work, I will no longer be watching. Holly & Leah Remini were the two funniest hosts the talk had, they had the best stories and actually hung out after the show... I think Julie Chen who's husband is the President of CBS was jealous of their relationship and popularity so she chose to get rid of them I'm highly pissed bc my whole family & I watched solely for Holly & Leah and with them being gone we just won't watch anymore & were not alone Their whole fb page & twitter pages are filled with thousands of comments with ppl who are not watching, will boycott the show/ CBS for poorly handling this matter No one wants to see Sheryl Underwood's ugly mug...that's a face for radio not TV And Kris Jenner?!! COSIGN 100% - as much as I like Julie Chen, she's too dry and uptight for this platform. I think the CEO knew his wife was being over-shadowed by Leah and Holly. They always allowed her to do her job and lead the show, but it's clear as soon as it's their turn to talk that they have likeable and relatable personalities. On the bright side, I heard Kris Jenner was only temporary (sigh of relief). However, this show will def lose ratings. They'll be lucky if they last at all after this.

With regard to smarts and education, Holly Robinson Peete, too, possesses those traits. She studied Psychology and French in college and speaks four languages. Her children's book, "My Brother Charlie" earned her an NAACP Image Award for Literary Work earlier this year. Those of us who are old enough to remember may recall her debut role on '21 Jump Street' and also on 'Hangin' With Mr. Cooper' during the late '80s and '90s, respectively. She was a very well known, well-respected actress prior to 'The Apprentice'. Please, check your facts...or otherwise allow for due diligence. Oh, and those of us who do not favor Sheryl Underwood's "Uncle Tom/chitlins and greens/I-supported-President-Bush" mentality, or Kris Jenner's "I'm-obsessed-with-plastic-surgery/refuse-to-act-my-age-and-pimp-my-daughters-to-make-a-living" attitude WILL NOT BE WATCHING. Not that ALL black people think the same way, or carry the same opinions... but the idea of being a black republican is sort of like a wheelchair bound woman being against the disabilities act. It just doesn't make sense, unless you are doing it simply to create some sort of spectacle, or go 'against the grain', voting against your own self interests DOES NOT make sense.
