TV FAB: Sheryl Underwood DEBUTS On "The Talk," REVEALS Her Husband's Suicide

Today, comedienne Sheryl Underwood made her debut on the CBS gabfest "The Talk" and in between the jokes, she candidly opened up about her husband's suicide and how it affected her as a young woman. Watch the video inside....

Filling the voids left by Leah Remini and Holly Robinson, comediennes Sheryl Underwood (in her best church wig) and Molly Shannon sat on the panel for CBS' "The Talk" and dished on topics like Chaz Bono on "DWTS" and the suicide of Russell Armstong of "RHOBH."

But in between the jokes Sheryl Underwood shared a personal moment with the audience when she revealed that her husband committed suicide years ago.

But even in the moment of seriousness, Sheryl cracked a joke telling the audience not to feel sorry for her because she was acquitted...thanks to her lawyer.

Watch the candid moment here:

I love watching the show

I love watching the show because of Sheryl Underwood, she makes me laugh out loud all of the time. As far as anything she may have said that offended anyone about her husband's death, get over it we all handle grief in different ways, finding humor in any situation is a true blessing. Keep up the good work and don't change a thing...

I have known Sheryl since

I have known Sheryl since high school and she has always had a great sense of humor. She was always a defender of right and never liked the putting down of others. she has always spoken her mind and had a comforting shoulder and words for those who needed it. I find The Talk much improved with her wit. she let's use know we need not take life so seriously and to have faith. Keep up the good work Sheryl.

Sheryl is a very EDUCATED and

Sheryl is a very EDUCATED and INTELLIGENT lady with two graduate degrees and an accomplished military career and background. Yes, her humor may be a little crude, but as she states in her stand-up routines, she gives the people what they want. For those who do not like it, i'm pretty sure you know how to operate a remote.

I agree that Sheryl should

I agree that Sheryl should control her "hot" comments about men and having sex. Just not a pretty image. She can be funny at times, but tone it down a little and it would be more enjoyable to watch. It doesn't project a very good image of her as a lady and ruins the show at times.

When I saw Sherri Underwood

When I saw Sherri Underwood and heard her talk, I stopped watching the show. I am a black woman and she reminds me of Amos and Andy. She's truly a pitiful black woman. As soon as The Talk comes on, I switch channels immediately. I don't know who GAVE her a degree! She really needs Speech. I am a retired teacher of 40 years and when she speaks,I am completly shame!

Sheryl Underwood, whom I had

Sheryl Underwood, whom I had never ever heard of, needs to go NOW! I was just starting to really enjoy The Talk, even more than The View; however, I continue to watch BOTH shows everyday! I respect that the panel on The Talk are much better at not talking over one another like they do on The View, I can not stand how loud and harsh Sheryl Underwood is. For a brief time I thought that The Talk might just be able to over take THE VIEW in ratings, but not with the current panel of hosts. Sharon Osborne, without a doubt is the "ONE" that makes the show and without her the show would never make it! It's my suggestion that you work quickly and deligently to put together a better panel or there won't be any renewal of contract.

Right on - the show is bad

Right on - the show is bad enough, but, it is totally unwatchable with Sheryl - I can never understand what she is saying, even though she shouts - and if, by chance, you do understand, you wonder what the hell she is talking about. She thinks she is hilarious, but no one else does!! please she has a place, but, it's now on that show!!!

your comments about your husband are sickening. Making jokes of it are even worse, especially since your talking about my cousin and my family. You disgust me!!

sometimes you have to laugh

sometimes you have to laugh to keep from going crazy. she stated it was hard, and she thanked god she got the chance to love him. i don't see anything horrible in what she said. he was her family too. i can remember a funeral, my uncle had died. one of my aunts looked into the casket, and stated that it was the first time he had ever looked pleasant. the whole line cracked up, and 20 years later, we still laugh about it.

My email to Sheryl Underwood

My email to Sheryl Underwood and is an invitation for You to attend The Parker/Newell Family reunion in Forrest City, Arkansas in 2012. My grandmother (Pearlie Newell Parker) and your great grandmother (Dollie Newell Moore) were sisters. We have a reunion every two (2) years and we would love for you and all the Moores to attend. I know you are very busy but we would love to fellowship with you. I saw you on the show on Friday, October 26, 2011 and you talked about how precious and important it is for you to receive correspondence from family, so I thought I would give it a try. Congratulations to you and your successful career! You may contact me be email @ d_morelon_ar@yahoo.com or by phone @ 870 633 2676. We hope to see you. I am sincerely yours, Delores Morelon

What show are you all

What show are you all watching?! I too was disappointed when I heard that Leah and Holly were leaving the show, but I ended up really enjoying the different dynamic that Sheryl brings. FYI- Sheryl is an educated black woman. Black women are diverse and Holly is not the only representation. She is just the one that people who don't really understand the entire culture are comfortable with.

Saw this in a Jet magazine

Saw this in a Jet magazine reference, "A graduate of Fresno City College (A.A.), the University of Illinois at Chicago (B.A.) and Governors State (M.A.),". But if I just relied on Wikipedia instead of doing a little more research, I would say she has 2 Masters Degrees too. The wiki does not have a citation for that entry. Not to say that Jet magazine is the ultimate source, but it does at least provide her Alma maters. Maybe, a bit more looking will turn up that second Master's Degree?

WOW...Some of you should go

WOW...Some of you should go back and read your own posts so you can see how ignorant and racist you all sound. I wish Sheryl Underwood great success on The Talk. She has worked hard to get to where she is.

Im sorry but i have to agree

Im sorry but i have to agree with the criticisms. I loved Leah and Holly and i thought those ladies had wonderful chemistry. Holly was a wonderful role model and represented black women well. Sheryl can be vulgar and her speech is terrible. It makes me cringe when I hear her speak andI think she sets back the slow but deliberate progress black women have made in the Entertainment industry.

My God..... I will not watch

My God..... I will not watch The Talk anymore because of the new changes.... It's very sad to replace a very good cast with a dramatic down-grade of trash......! Again, Sad Sad........:(
