Details Revealed In The Death Of Vesta Williams

Details have emerged regarding that death of R&B singer Vesta Williams, who was found dead in her California hotel room.  Get the latest inside........

"Sweet Sweet Love" singer Vesta Williams, 53, was found dead in her El Segundo, CA hotel room last night.

According to Los Angeles County coroner's Capt. John Kades, Vesta was found dead at 6:15pm on Thursday night and officials also discovered several empty prescription pill bottles. 

For now, law enforcement is treating the death as either an accident or suicide.  A cause of death will likely be determined after a coroner's examination has taken place, which could take 6 weeks.

Vesta, who made several appearances on "Sister, Sister" as Jackee Harry's best friend Monica was remembered by the actress who tweeted:

"...just received truly devastating news: R&B great, and my friend of many yrs, Vesta Williams ((at)vesta4u), has passed away. (hash)RIPVesta"

R.I.P. Vesta ~~ Condolences to your family & friends. I miss you already. What a voice! Vesta was so very talented. She was also still performing and performing WELL so I'm having a hard time believing that there wasn't some type of foul play. Members of the hotel staff reported Vesta checking in WITH a gentleman but being found dead and alone with empty prescription bottles. Just sayin'...there maybe more to this story than what's being accepted as the gospel.
