I totally agree...that's her thing who r u to judge how she lives. The thing that hurts me about our sistahs is being so judge mental on something that we no nothing about. If a women wants 2 have a baby and not be married so what...no 1 puts a gun to a mans head and say leave ur wife. How do we know what really goes on behind close doors of these marriages. Let people be and choose what they feel is r right 4 them...u did didn't you. I'm sure plenty of the negative comments r the ones who have been with a married man...again thats ur thing no one else. @ Lilylovely I'm not hostile. I'm just aware. The state of the Black Family is in crisis and any person with two eyes can see that. If you don't understand the very simple concept that a family provides a foundation and morality then I can't help you to better understand that. A strong family provides a great deal. Especially an educated strong family. From the family we learn what is right from wrong, we learn responsibility. This is proven out day in and day out. Lilly you sound like a very bright woman and you're much older and more experienced than I am so I'm not telling you anything new. I'm speaking about people who are my age and much younger. Each generation grows us a little more detached from the next and I'm telling you from experience that sex is looked at in a VERY casual way today. Children from broken families allow their peers to influence their decisions as opposed to their families. And the result is what you see today. Women have sex with men without any regard to what CAN potentially happen. And then you see these children have children and this continues on and on. I know because I see it. I at times tutor disadvantaged children and It's so sad the lives they lead. They don't have the moral strength or education to know what is right from wrong. These people come from very broken homes and most don't even know who their fathers are. Women are also raised into thinking it's "normal" to raise a child alone and not to expect much from the father. Some people don't even use the legal system to help them make the father more responsible. But we also know that you can't force people to do what is right. Nia Long is a very nice person i'm sure and this is not so much about her as it is about the IMAGE. Nia is a Hollywood actress and I'm sure her child will be taken care of. But you're missing the point. The point is that the MEDIA and the Black Media more so than not.... Promotes this idea that it's A OK to be single and raising a child. The media teaches this because the MEDIA raises and instills values into people my age and younger because these fatherless children are making up such a LARGE part of the Black community. It's a FACT that African American women make up the HIGHEST numbers of unwed single mothers. And Ebony Magazine should have been MORE responsible about putting Nia Long on the cover because they are PROMOTING that lifestyle to people who can't maintain that. What is wrong with putting a MARRIED couple who is expecting on the cover? Think of what a POWERFUL image that would be???? Again, I'm just pointing out how irresponsible the Media is. Yes Brad and Angelina are not married but the White community is not in the same state of that of African Americans.

Or Demi Moore. Wasn't she the first female celeb who appeared nude, but had body paint on her while she was preggo? I think so.
