SNEAK PEEK: Nicki Minaj Covers COSMOPOLITAN Mag, Gets Featured On Rick Ross' New Joint "You The Boss"

Nicki Minaj just became only the second black woman to grace Cosmopolitan magazine's cover in the last 3 years.  (The other is Rihanna--twice.) Check out a sneak peek of her cover hitting shelves soon....plus her new track with Ricky Rozay....

 

The folks over at Rap Radar caught this glimpse of Nicki Minaj rocking a black leather bustier and mini skirt on the cover of Cosmopolitan's November 2011 issue.

I stopped reading Cosmo back about 10 years ago...when I realized every single issue was 99.9% just the same articles about how to sex your man better.  And I only saw a black chick in the mag once every blue moon.

Looks like things haven't changed much.

Meanwhile, Nicki appears on Rick Ross' brand new track he just dropped last night called "You The Boss."  It's his second single off his upcoming God Forgives, I Don't album dropping December 13th:

I wish black people would stop making EVERYTHING about race! What other black star do y'all have that mainstream white America know of? Rihanna, Beyonce and Nicki are the only ones they know. If Kelly gets bigger she will be on there too. Also, just bc they haven't featured black women as often as white women doesn't mean they're racist. Nicki getting the COVER is BIG. Essence came about to cover exclusive BLACK female issues because they were not being covered in mainstream magazines. When people like Nicki get a MAINSTREAM magazine like COSMO it's a BIG deal. There are tons of Black Entertainers who never get the audience that they want and hence the respect. Nicki has done that. So has Rihanna and Beyonce and other BIG NAMES like Halle Berry. Essence has a small audience COSMO in an international BRAND and will expose Nicki to an audience she could never had gotten to. Opening for Britney Spears has paid off BIG TIME. Nicki's next CD will be A MASSIVE hit!

back in the 90s there used to be a fashion show on VH1 and i saw an interview where cosmo stated that they NEVER feature black women on the cover because the magazine wouldnt sell if they did. i always thought that was bogus bc if someone has a subscription they dam sure are not going to return it.

Don't they get letters from their (assuming) thousands of readers? don't they have people of various races on staff?
