"Basketball Wife" Evelyn Lozada Nabs Book & Film Deal...With Cash Money

Evelyn Lozada started taping "Basketball Wives: Miami" Season 4 today. And she's got some other big news too. She nabbed a 6-figure book and film deal with Cash Money Records' literary division called Cash Money Content.

Evelyn's putting all her baller dating stories to good use and making some cash off of them. She reportedly just signed a deal with Lil Wayne & Birdman's publishing division of Cash Money Records. Cash Money Content, which just kicked off this year, is in partnership with Atria Books, an imprint of Simon & Schuster. And they also focus on turning literary works into films.

So what's Evelyn going to be writing about? Her life as a baller girlfriend of course. Fictional novels based "loosely" on her life of dating professional athletes to be exact. And she's using the alter ego Eve Inez-Landon.

Her first literary work, according to the Hollywood Reporter, will be called The Wives Association. She loves that W word doesn't she? It'll be co-written by "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" writer Courtney Parker.

Evelyn says:

“The stories that you hear—what goes on in these relationships, and just being in that circle—I decided to let everyone experience a piece of it for themselves by writing this series of juicy novels.

By partnering with Baby and Cash Money Content, we have the potential to turn these ‘novels’ into a full-fledged brand,” Lozada explains. “Everything Baby and CMC touches turns to gold, and our brands together will be magical.”

Magical is one word for it.

We only have ourselves to blame for creating the 'itch known as Evelyn. We tune into her show every week, for entertainment purposes or not, we watch! Because we have become such amazing supporters, why wouldn't she think we would, now and forever, make her relevant. Women of true substance don't stand a chance these days because of chicks like Evelyn. Now I see why her daughter was in such a hurry to get as far away as possible from her homegirl, Evelyn (what a role model and positive example of a woman). The thinks some women will do for money!

Evelyz a writter? Am I having a nightmare? This is not real I must be on candid camera. What does this women know about anything to be writting a book? You date ball players you eat out and party all day and that is a reason to give someone a book deal? What about those college educated people who hold degrees and have actual writting skills? What is this world comming too? I went to college and I can't even get an interview to save my life,and these empty headed worthless good for nothing over 35 fancy groupies get all these opportunities.

All that Glitters isn't Gold. Remember that saying. Well, I don't think Evelyn is getting a six figure deal. I think it's Cash money that will be making that amount if...her book sells. Book sales are way down. Barnes & Noble had to close a couple of stores, libraries have to cut hours or shut their doors all because no one is buying or reading books any more. Superhead already made her money off her groupie ways and told everything. There is nothing more to sell or tell. Superhead signed a lucative book deal when her book came out but that was back in 2005 when book sales were doing better due to the Harry Potter franchise. However, things have changed and not for the better. Even Superhead is having a hard time selling her sex books. Evelyn needs to invest in some sort of skill and having sex with every baller ain't what I'm talking about. In about 3 to 4 years, Evelyn and the whole BBW cast will be irrelevant.

Evelyn looks good in this picture. Most celebrity books are not penned by them, Snookie has a book and if you watch that show she is not that bright, but well paid. This brings me to my other point. @2Sweet you need a mentor. Someone to show you that there are professional women out there making money through their own efforts and not by who their associated with or by dating/marrying someone with money. These women on these shows are all trying to take the money they have made and try to establish themselves in other markets. Evelyn with her shoe store and book deal, Draya with her bikini line and Malaysia with her jewelry line, Sheree with her clothing line, the list goes on. Find out what it is that you like to do and make money from it, those are the most fulfilling careers because you are getting paid to do what you love. It is sad that you are learning your values from TV but I have had a similar conversation with some teenagers recently and sad to say some of them had the similar view points. Starting to think that its not all entertainment if this is what it is doing to some of the youth of America. The crazies statement made by one of these young girls was “I don’t care if I get pregnant because then I can be on MTV and get my own show.”

If this were a post about Halle...you would certainly have read some of "my" personal thoughts about Halle...however; we are talking about Evelyn Rosado. You do understand that her claim to fame is being an "almost" wife, groupie jumpoff and a foul mouthed, project hoe that...for what its worth, is living in Miami while her mom is still the Projects of the Bronx where she's from. I'm not going to argue over an Evelyn Rosado. sorry, but evelyn's mother does NOT live in the projects. i know it makes it much easier to trash her if her mom is in the pjs, but NYC housing projects do not have terraces/balconies - none of them. her mom's building is more than likely one of those mitchell-lama, moderate income high rise buildings that were built in the 70's and 80's.

Ladies, stop comparing your integrity to others. Whether you are in medical school or even thinking about college, you have the potential to do and be anything you want to be. Sure the economy is uncertain right now. That still does not determine your future. If anything, you ladies should be comparing yourselves in a way such as "if she can do that, I know I can do this". Stop discounting yourselves. There may be jobs when you are done with college, there may not, but create your own destiny! Instead of looking for a job, find what your talents are and create jobs. Think outside of the box. Use your beauty and intelligence to inspire yourselves and others. So what you think people who live different than you, get better opportunites. Excerpt from book(as interpreted by Lockstress) I woke up today in an alley on the corner of Skid and Row wondering who's dyck it was I had in my throat last night. Oh no...not again I thought to myself. I mean, I never graduated from high school and I didn't have the thought process to realize that if I put my mind to it and get an education that I could amount to something. Well I picked through the trash bin and found my Victoria Secretions drawers, found my purse where I had stashed it the night before behind the trash bin and brushed my hair, slapped on some gloss and made my way back to the projects where my mother, sister and a cousin lived. The guy I had met was about six nine and told me he was headed to the NBA. I was thrilled. Now I had a ticket out. I hope he kept the number I wrote on his left sock with my cherry red lipstick that I had just bought. I can't wait to hear from him. Oh no....here comes my bus and I can't find my change. Damn. Guess I'll be sucking for a ride home this morning. Oh well... (stay tuned for more)
