Queen Latifah Confirms She Plans to Adopt In MORE Magazine

Actress Queen Latifah will soon add "mother" to her long list of duties if all goes well. Find out about her adoption plans inside.....

Along with a new talk show debuting next year, Queen Latifah also plans to become a mother. In a new interview woth "MORE" Magazine, the movie producer reveals that

'I'm definitely going to adopt - or have - a child. I've wanted to adopt since I was 17 or 18-years-old.'

The 20-year anniversary of the death of her brother, Lance Owens, may have spurred on her motherly urges. She also revealed,

'I think the most important thing I've learned is to not stop living. 'I know for a fact that my brother would not want me to stay right there, stuck in that misery. 'If the person who you lost loved you like you loved them?

'There's no way they would not want you to live your life to the maximum, to appreciate it, to go for your dreams, go for your goals.'

Her next film, Joyful Noise with Dolly Parton and KeKe Palmer hits theaters everywhere on January 13, 2012.

These kids out here nowadays already thinks it's cool or the 'in thing' to be either flaming gay (yes i said FLAMING) or bisexual because of all the worldly influences that are out here. The child or children should be able to make up their own minds on what type of lifestyle they want to live. Sorry, I had to add this. 1) Although I believe it is highly likely that Queen Latifah is a lesbian, she has never confirmed it. 2) Why do people feel the need disparage someone because of their PERCEIVED sexuality. That's pathetic. There have been many people that I have known who I thought were gay or lesbian, and they weren't. Attacking someone (verbally or otherwise) because of what you think their sexuality is, is ignorant. 3) As far as I know, Queen Latifah has been nothing but dignified and a great role model, irrespective of her sexuality. To debase her is absolutely ridiculous. 4) People absolutely kill me. If gay people are open about their sexuality, they tell them to shut up about it and leave it behind closed doors. "Stop pushing the gay agenda"...blah...blah...blah (btw, that is the dumbest statement in the world). But the moment a gay person chooses to live their lives privately, they want to know why they won't come out of the closet. It isn't your effing business. You don't pay her bills. No official study just an observation of mine. Some straight parents are not very good parents, some are. There are gays who are raising children who are doing well at it. Homosexuality is everywhere, and has been for ages. Just because people are more out with it now does not mean it has not been around. If the adoption agencies allow gays to adopt and find them fit parents who am I to say otherwise.

You do realize that every major study has shown that children raised in lesbian households are better adjusted, better educated, and more stable than children in all other households. Children in lesbians households are abused (emotionally, physically and/or sexually by their parents or outsiders) 8.6 percent of the time, while children in all other households are abused 24.3 percent of time. You mentioned the current Penn State controversy. Last time I checked, Sadusky has been married to the same woman for 42 years. If anyone shouldn't be able to adopt children, it should be heterosexual men because they are responsible for 86 percent of violent crimes and sexual crimes against children.
