PROMO FAB: Brandy Joins "The Game" & Kyla Pratt Added To "Let's Stay Together" Cast, Promo Pics Released

When hit BET sitcoms "The Game" and "Let's Stay Together" return in 2012, fans will find veteran actresses Brandy and Kyla Pratt have been added to the respective casts. Get the deets and the casts' new promo pics inside.....

BET announced recently that Brandy will be joining the cast of "The Game" while fellow actress Kyla Pratt has been added to "Let's Stay Together."

According to the press release, here's what's going down on season 5 of "The Game":

"Melanie (Tia Mowry Hardrict) contends with Derwin’s (Pooch Hall) abortion accusation; Malik (Hosea Chanchez) and Tasha (Wendy Raquel Robinson) struggle to wrangle an intoxicated Jenna (Tika Sumpter); and Kelly (Brittany Daniel) is still off in the world trying to find herself, leaving Jason (Coby Bell) forced to come to terms with his feelings towards Black women."

The network also revealed that in addition to Brandy, we can expect guest apperances by Shawn Marion, Estelle, Selita Ebanks, DeRay Davis, NeNe Leakes, Rockmond Dunbar, and the Emmy-award winning Loretta Devine among others.  Can't wait!

 

And on season 2 of "Let's Stay Together":

"The first episode will answer the big question of what happened at Stacy (Nadine Ellis) and Charles’ (Bert Belasco) wedding from the cliffhanger in last season’s finale, and why he left her standing at the altar. Additionally, Tasha (Joyful Drake) and Jamal (RonReaco Lee) will have their marriage tested by former relationships and other temptations while Charles and Stacy continue to explore the ups and downs of making coupledom work. In season two, life becomes even more complex when Kita (Erica Hubbard) is inspired to go on a reality show a la Survivor and asks her cousin Crystal (Kyla Pratt) to house sit in her absence."

It's going to be great to see Kyla Pratt back on the small screen....love her as an actress.  And no wonder NeNe Leakes is so "rich"....she stays cashing "guest appearance" checks!

Both shows return on Tuesday, Jan. 10.  WIll you be watching?

Sorry but the game is not the same w/o kelly. I remember when I couldn't wait to see the game but now I couldn't care less if I see it or not and brandy come on now they could have gotten someone better then her to hook up with Jason.... she is not a good fit for jason or the show. The first writer(don't remember her name)but she need to take the storyline back over from her husband because he is ruining a show that was once the bomb.

The last season of the game

The last season of the game was so whack. I did not like the story line at all. This season is a little better, but the writers should step their games up before the game gets cancelled again. I like Brandy a lot but her character is just not believable on the show. Since kelly is no longer on the show maybe they need to get rid of jason. He is sort of irrelevant without her. He doesn't fit with the show now. I hope the writers come up with some better material before the show gets cancelled again.

I am so upset they took Brittany off as a regular, I agree all these guest appearances is wack, the original cast made this show what it was, I was very very disappointed by the first episode it was very confusing, it just looked like a cheap soap opera, I will keep watching though because I have grown to luv the original cast members, but I hope they reconsider about Brittany, I definitly miss her character in the show!!

Love the game but the original cast is what made the show entertaing..bring brittany daniel back...the cast as a WHOLE is what made viewers want the show back on the air

I will be watching .Please

I will be watching .Please have Will Smith,Tisha Campbell Martin, Cree Summer. Jasmine GuymRain Pyror, Molly Ringwald, guest star. And add , Kim Fields and Shemar Moore as regulars on the show. I think its time to get rid of the actress who plays Kelly on The game. Please replace her with Sanna Lathan, add Ron Bell, Morris Day, Mya and Beyonce as regulars. I think maybe this time Melanie and Derwin should adopt three kids. Malik should be a singer. Please have shows on bullying, hazing.

This is why black televisions shows never last. Black people always complaining when only BET and TV One is willing to show the black shows. Though Kelly was good, you act like she was the star. You guys really need to check yourself.

You got all the white people on here saying they miss kellz and all the black people complaining when they shouldn't supporting the show and the black actors who by the way when the CW had them they weren't treated the same. Now the CW acted like the show wasn't as important as all the white shows so black people let's be proud and support our black actors. It may not start of great but the end will be spectacular give BET a break we did beg to get it back everything can't stay the same. Can anyone say thank you for CHANGE!!!!!

The Game is coming really

The Game is coming really close to jumping the shark with all these random guest appearances. Hope they fix the lighting/filming on this season. They probably won't but things weren't right for Season 4. Big difference if you look at previous season and compare it to BET's first one. I'll still try to watch.

AGREED about Kayla Pratt . Her acting is terrible. And even though she is grown now (I believe she is around about her mid twenties now right?) there is something very juvenile about her. I always think about the Proud Family when I hear her voice.

Where were you during the

Where were you during the season finale last season? Mel and Derwin were in the OBGYN office, talking about their options. The doctor wanted to tell the biz privately to Mel, instead Mel stated that he can ask her anything because there are no secrets between her and Derwin. The doctor proceeded to ask Mel if she's ever had a miscarriage, abortion, or if she was ever pregnant before (something to that effect). Mel said "no" Derwin was right next to her, but the way Mel said "no" illustrated to Derwin that she was lying because Derwin knows what Mel says every time she lies (similar to Marcus on Why Did I Get Married "you know what I'm saying"), I think her phrase is "definitely not." When the doctor left the room, Derwin asked her "was it mine?" That was the cliffhanger, and that's were they should begin when they start (the aftermath)

lol um i'm assuming brandy norwood.. you know .. Mo to the.. E to the ..lol? idk if she's going to be a guest appearance or a regular. i'm praying just a guest bc i would rather her not be a regular.. like what's her purpose as a regular? lol... and the last episode is a little fuzzy and someone can correct me if need be, but from what i remember derwin and melanie went to the doctor because she was having some issues getting pregnant and i think the doctor i assume examined her and idk if there was scar tissue but he could basically tell she had an abortion or something went on down there. derwin was obviously oblivious to all this so now he's accusing her of having an abortion and she needs to explain when she was pregnant, whose kid it was (bc remember she had that moment when she was trickin ie: McHottie, the cable guy, Trey Wiggs), when she aborted it.. you know all that stuff and that's what guna go down next season.. hope this helped!

I miss the white girl I can't remember her name and please forgive me by saying white girl in know one did I mean to affend but I think it is mess up that they are not including her in the story lines...she had a major role in the old show.....
