She's stood by him through the slew of twists and turns regarding accusations of molestation of young boys.  But now, Eddie Long's wife, Vanessa, is calling it quits!

Vanessa Long typically stayed quiet throughout the bruhaha of Eddie Long, pastor of New Birth Baptist Church, being accused of having relationships and coercing young boys into having sex with him by paying for their trips and clothing and other things.  Eddie has denied all the accusations from the start.

But with evidence piling up, the alleged victims speaking out, and Eddie agreeing to a settlement, Vanessa has chucked deuces to her husband of 21 years.  The couple have 3 children together

Yesterday, she went to the Dekalb County Clerk's office in the Atlanta area and filed the paperwork.  We hear she no longer attends New Birth. She, instead, attends Bishop Dale Bronner's church, Word of Faith Family Worship cathedral.

In a statement to the press this morning, Vanessa says she wants this matter solved quickly and wants privacy:

"After a great deal of deliberation and prayer, I have decided to terminate my marriage to Bishop Eddie L. Long. Accordingly, I authorized my attorneys to file for divorce on December 1, 2011.

It is my sincere hope that this matter can be resolved expeditiously, harmoniously and fairly. I ask that you respect my privacy and that of my family, as my attorneys and I have agreed that we will not try this case in the media, and I do not intend to make any further statements concerning this matter."

Ish just got even more real...
