Dutch Magazine "JACKIE" SAYS It Has No Reason To APOLOGIZE To Rihanna

We told you earlier about the editor of JACKIE Magazine resigning in the wake of the Rihanna "Ni**ab*tch" controversy, but now the publisher of the magazine is saying the mag has NOTHING to apologize for. Get the deets inside.....

Now that Eva Hoeke, the former editor of the Dutch magazine JACKIE, is out the door, the magazine's publisher has issued a statement claiming the magazine has nothing to apologize for.

On the Dutch site Villamedia, publisher Yves Gijrath said,

"[T]here is nothing wrong in the magazine. [Hoeke] presented it as a joke, but it most certainly was not a joke. It was an interpretation [of a fashion style]. [...] She should have said: "we did not realize this interpretation is such a touchy subject. We never meant any harm and offer our sincere and upright apologies." But because of all the fuss, Eva started to wiggle in all directions, and therefore we have come to the conclusion her credibility has been undermined."

He added.....

"(W)e will not be silenced. People are totally off limits when calling both the magazine Jackie and Eva Hoeke racist. Jackie is even produced by an editorial staff that is of mixed origins."

So basically, Yves stands by the "joke" and Eva was fired because she didn't stand behind her decision to print the piece. Hmmmmm......

I guess the bottom line is that racial slurs are OK as long as you own up to them??!!

Some of your people on here are so ignorant that it's sickening to read the lack of education and common sense that is prevalent in this world. I am so tired of reading nonsense about Jay Z and Kanye West having a song Niggas In Paris, to other rappers using the word nigga in their lyrics, or some blacks saying it amongst ourselves. These individual entertainers do not represent nearly 40 million blacks in America. Furthermore, I have never heard the term "niggabitch" used a day in my life. I find it bizarre how people want to critique black Americans on what we can and can't say and how we should or shouldn't react when someone prints or say something that is blatantly offensive. Rihanna dresses no different from Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, or Kesha and yet she is defined as the stereotypical ghetto chick with that ghetto ass and a niggabitch to top it off. Joke or not, I didn't find the article humorous and I find it insulting how people want to dismiss black people's views as irrelevant if we don't willingly laugh along with being offended. Others try to play the "hypocrite" game by mentioning what is said or heard on radio by (drum roll) RAAAAAAPPERs. I can turn on the television right now and the word nigga is NOT blasted every second on every single channel. Hmm. I turn on the radio and the word nigga is usually silenced - although it is likely played without interruption in the late night hours. The problem is people are so damn eager to define blacks as a whole on any type of crap and say "There, that's who they are." Some of you people want to use all the justification in the world in an attempt ignore the issue and turn the tables against individual blacks who didn't find it funny. Ah yes.
