John Legend POPPED The Question...He & Christine Teigen Are ENGAGED!

Over the Holidays, John Legend took his girlfriend of over 3 years to the islands. And he popped the question. Deets on John and Chrissy Teigen's engagement inside...

In a not so surprising move, 32-year-old (he turns 33 tomorrow) "Green Light" singer John Legend proposed to his gorgeous 26-year-old model girlfriend Christine (Chrissy) Teigen.

His rep confirmed to People saying:

"John Legend and his girlfriend, model Chrissy Teigen, got engaged over the holidays while vacationing in the Maldives."

Nice. The two exchanged tweets today saying:

Ever since Chrissy's been with John, her model star has risen a bit--from doing catalog work to now appearing in Diddy's brand new Rat Pack inspired Ciroc ad and being named a 2012 Sports Illustrated calendar girl. And chick is on every red carpet imaginable. Somebody knows how to play the game...

The newly engaged twosome will be in Vegas this weekend to ring in the new year as Mr. Legend is slated to perform at The Pearl at The Palms.
