I don't believe that wanting to be respected, afforded the same rights as other human beings is by no means "shoving" anything "down" one's throat. As people we're all born with certain rights (should be anyway) and to say anybody isn't or shouldn't be entitled to those rights because they don't fit the mold that is "normality" is ridiculous. Rappers, movies, actors and Hollywood in general glamorize sex, violence, infedility and fornication all which are sins are they too guilty of "shoving" whatever down our throats? George Clooney is notably the most eligible bachelor in Hollywood. He dates and I assume has sex with young woman after young woman and seemingly has no plans to marry any of them. Is he shoving his fornicating/sinful lifestyle down our throats every time he shows up with a new arm piece on a red carpet? Are these rappers talking about getting "head" from this chick and that one shoving anything down our throats? All I'm saying is living one's life trying to pursue some type of happiness in this sometimes miserable world of ours is in no way shoving anything down the throats of others. I'd rather have my son or daughter come to me knowing they'll be accepted and loved and would hope others would respect him/her for the decent, kind, honest and giving person I'd hoped to have raised them to be, and tell me who they are than he/she feeling shame and fear and feel the need to "suffer" in silence until it becomes too much for him/her to bare. Never that. Live & let live. No ifs. No ands. No buts.
